Re: Graphics: Official Petition

Other than a few models, its their use of coloring that is their problem. They don't seem to realize that even though their graphics are amazing, their choice of coloring just does not have the same Diablo feel to it. Turn down the green dungeons (they look like the Sunken Ruins from WoW), remove the rainbows (unless it is part of the storyline somehow ), and make the environment fit the lore (dried blood stains, not fresh, and skeletons of decayed heroes in tristram).

As for art, worry about that later. Simple character fixes such as scaling and remodeling can be done the future. Worry more about the environment, if nothing is changed or realized now by Blizzard, it will would delay the game release or make no change at all since they would have to redo the whole Diablo World rather than just a character.

Re: Graphics: Official Petition

Yeah Blizzard! Change WC3 while you're at it!

Seriously, stop your complaining. Each franchise has gone through the transition. WarCraft did, StarCraft did, and now it's Diablo's turn.

OF COURSE IT IS.
WHY THE FUCK DO YOU THINK THEY MAKE GAMES?!! BECAUSE OF FUCKING CHARITY?

THEY USE A GRAPHICAL STYLE THAT THEY THINK WILL ENTICE THE MOST USERS.

AND SINCE WHEN DID DIABLO II EVER LOOK LIKE GEARS OF FUCKING WAR??!

I aggree with Jaru5, but i mean when u look at it its freaking discusting, we waited so long to get something unique like the past diablos, and now we get this bs that looks like world of warcraft but with just a different interface...its cheap if you ask me... what made diablo unique and popular was the fact that it was not cartoonish and it was unique in its genre... dark fantasy, end of the story. But whatever i mean, it is defenetly about money obviously. and all im saying is that its not fair.

Cartoonish? CARTOONISH??! DID YOU SEE ALL THE GODDAMN BLOOD DURING THAT BOSSFIGHT??!

CARTOONISH?!!

You people seriously make me sick to my stomach.

And the whole 'unique' business seriously makes me laugh. Oh, dark medieval fantasy with zombies and a dark and gritty atmosphere! You don't see that much anymore! (PROTIP: Look at any next-gen game post 2003)

Here, read this Kotaku article.

http://kotaku.com/5021491/diablo-iii...is-your-friend

What's the point of a deep and dank dungeon if the whole world were one deep dank dungeon? There's no contrast! It's pointless! Diablo II, while a classic, has some of the most drab and repetitive visuals seen this side of the 1990s.

WAKE UP!
I know you want Diablo III to be like you, (dark, mysterious and trying desperately to be cool) but thankfully, Blizzard wants to actually make a, you know, nice looking game.

While I have since decided that I am extremely happy with what the game currently is, I have to disagree with this.

If graphics were unimportant, they could simply release an update to Diablo II. I also understand that that graphics aren't the most important thing, or I'd still be playing Diablo I. I was hoping Diablo III would be a combination of Diablo I graphics (updated to todays standards) with Diablo II game play.

However, it appears to keep the game play with a new direction for graphics. I think the first level looked phenomenal when I witnessed it for the first time, so I just want them to release the game as soon as possible. Even if it took two seconds to change the color scheme, that would be two seconds to long to push back the release date/time.

The video game itself is a contrast to real life.

Seriously guys, have you walked outside before? Even on dark, stormy days, the grass is still green and the trees are still brown.

If you want everything to look drab like Diablo II, change your monitor settings. THERE! BLACK AND WHITE!
