there is no big picture, AIG fucked us..... the taxpayers... now obama's rash reaction is to put a 90% tax on them... he is making a brash reaction and playing off the people emotions... not making the right decisions.

OK, but what candidate was going to usher in change that stood a chance? Ron Paul? He had a following, he was the most right person on economy and yet he still didn't have a chance in hell of winning. Obama spent a half a billion to win a job that pays only $400,000 a year. Suddenly now that Obama is in office that question of where the money is going to come from is gone. Hypocrites!

But on the right we have the same problem, Bush spent like a liberal on steroids and the Republicans rubber stamped him for 6 years barely raising a concern about it. Now suddenly they are fiscal conservatives again!?!? Hypocrites! Even when it came to the $800 billion stimulus their complaint was with a paltry $180 million in ear marks and $30 billion of the package.

That means they agreed with roughly $770 billion of the insane sugar daddy China can you give me a fix package. Both voted for the bail out, and both voted to usher in deregulation with the “The Commodity Futures Modernization Act of 2000” passing it with a near-unanimous House vote (377 to 4), both had a hand in the formation of Citigroup by helping to repeal the Glass-Steagall Act of 1933 that lead to this very crash! So neither party seems to understand the can of inflationary worms they unleashing on our nation in the coming years. We are already having issues servicing the interest on our national debt, we will default on our obligations, not honor them. Change will come, after both parties have utterly burned their bridges with the people and we finally get some pitchforks to shove up DC's ass. Personally I'm hoping for a D3 expansion package along these lines.

No one here can dispute what you said. As much hope as I had in Ron Paul, I can't help but realize that the only hope we have as a nation is in our own hands.

On the other hand, where is the line in the sand for the American people? Has it come and passed, or will it take the military marching on our streets? If it ever gets to that point, you all have my personal promise I will abandon my post.

AIG did go against the country, but you don't understand that they would be such a liability if Obama didn't do something about it. Obama is only doing the best thing, as punishment he is taxing them. He is not playing anyone's emotions, you aren't realizing anything important.
