It may not seem so baseline to people who have played Diablo 1 and 2, especially given the relative triviality of repairing in Diablo 3 and the very small piece of screen real-estate given to item durability.
Amulets having or not having durability is tangential to the original post, espeically two weeks after the discussion had reached a satisfactory conclusion.
The issue I have is with the way you and "pattedeluxe" are chosing to post, not with the content of his post.
In both previous Diablo games, rings and amulets did not have durability. I have never had equipment break in Diablo 3 so I assumed this carried over as well. Regardless, the other points stand. Thanks for pseudo-necroing a thread to give a somewhat caustic response without any real input, though.
I can only guess the amulet will blow up as normal, because:
1) Item durability loss doesn't actually ever destroy an item (at least not since Diablo 1!).
2) This is a special ability of an item and not tied to regular gear durability. The spaulders have unique wording, but when other gear becomes "indestructible," it actually reads "Ignores Durability Loss."
3) Amulets don't have durability.
4) This would sort of unravel the whole game, not to mention the concept of Hardcore Mode.
Now, given that these are two unique items with special abilities not found anywhere else, I'm just making inferences. However, I'd be very surprised (and pretty interested) if they in fact worked together to make you immortal.
