That is an awesome, detailed explanation of elemental damage, eDPS and so on... I've added this to the FAQ to get some more exposure for this, as I believe this is very interesting not only for wizards.
I've got a question: Ghom is amazing for single target sheet DPS, but is there a controlled test setup for multiple target sheet DPS? Due to more procs and stacks of runes and so on (for example, Flame Blades or certain proc-based legendaries) this becomes so much more difficult to gauge...
I'd suggest to un-sticky them. At least as far as I can speak for mine, it would be just misinformation if people take action based on it. I'll actually put a note in my guide such that people "ignore it".
Thanks for making this sticky so quickly! :-)

Oh yeah, I guess almost no build is really "original". I only briefly checked if my Blizzard build was done by someone else before - I'm 100% sure that's the case, but couldn't find it.
The point is not just to be "the creator" of a build, but rather show what you have come up with and what works for yourself. If it's a build that's already used by many other people it's still great; but it's even better if you found it out yourself, i.e., you understand why this build works better for you than other, similar builds. And that's why your thread is so damn useful, because it teaches people how to come up with new builds!
Just like finding an item yourself (rather than buying it on the AH), it's so much more fun if you figure out a build yourself (rather than copying it from a thread).
Teach a wizard one build, and he'll be happy for a day. Teach a wizard how to create builds himself, and he'll have infinite amounts of fun.
Awesome post Jaetch, I think this is the equivalent of "build guides" back in D3V; there's really no point in copy/pasting just one particular build from someone else, since it depends too much on playstyle/group composition/gear/difficulty. It's much better to create and try some builds yourself, and I agree that there were some odd builds recently over here as well... so: thank you so much for posting this! Sticky requested :-)
