Got reply. It is not a lot of info, but at least we can rule out what it is not. I was told the Diablo 2 patch is not a content patch. It is more a maintenance patch.
That said, I would think more about a bug fixes and a no-CD patch. There is no ETA on when this patch is coming out. BlizzCast 3 is still in development, no ETA. At that rate, seems it won't be released on April. We are only six days away from May.
I have been pushing this for weeks. I emailed four days ago. I was told they would ask the developers. Right now I am simply being patient for any updates.
Someone is trying to edit the site's code. It is LAGGING!!!
Well, the old blizzplanet programmer disabled the code that made work the headlines per game. He will disable something else tomorrow or whenever he is able. Probably that was causing the server lag.
We are getting hit by loads of visits and connections per minute. So the faulty code was putting the server under stress. Now that it was disabled, Umaro will be monitoring server performance. Kinda troubleshooting.
Basically, there's a patch in the works, supposedly for Diablo, because it was announced in China. MedievalDragon keeps us up to date on these things, since he has very good inside sources in Blizzard, like story writers and the like, and is a highly respected member of many fansites, including this one.
Except said inside sources keep evasion tanking me like a rogue on steroids. =/
Are your sources becoming illusive and mysterious?
lol ... looks like they are. I trust them, if they say they don't know. Even if I get that impression in the back of my mind. Blizzard is divided by departments and not everyone knows what the other one is doing. However, I will get answer as soon as they ask the Devs or people involved in the patch.
MideavalDragon is now the "super moderator". Bastard took my title!!!!
Quoting South Park, "He took my job!!!!"
lol ... Don't worry, Umaro changed my title to Staff Member. He gave me access to post news, and probably to send out newsletters in the future.
I won't be moderating, unless it is needed. I will function somehow as co-webmaster. This was something that has been in discussion since two years ago when the Blizzplanet domain name was hosted by Diablo3.com.
However, joining the staff had been delayed till now, the right time, for obvious rumors that have arised over the past months. We will find out for sure whether the rumors are or not unfounded at WWI.
On the other hand, having access to post news earlier than expected allows fans of the community to get acquainted with me the next couple of months. And once I go to WWI, I can update the front page on the fly from the event's premises; and later at the end of the event from the hotel room.
Incorrect. That was submited long ago, and went through and forwarded to the appropriate person. That email was sent probably over two weeks ago. Update: That was sent on March 6 and March 13th. I got reply from both.
A few days ago (March 31), I had posted on the forums that I requested a status of the questions submited, specially an update on Diablo II patch and BlizzCast Episode 3. That was the email that seems to not have gone through. I sent it again this morning.
Update: Sorry guys, I had to contact again. Just checked my "sent email" and noticed a space after "@". Probably it didn't go through. Will let you know if I get details of the patch and blizzcast 3.

WCRadio streamed live from BlizzCon 2005 and 2007. Totalbiscuit from WCRadio told me a month or two ago they plan to stream WWI too.
GIGA.de is most likely to stream the tournament, and maybe a few panels, as they did Blizzcon 2007.
