I tried manualy patching it to 1.09 didnt work so I tired the optional 1.09b that also didnt work.
The cd is a launch CD but it shouldnt matter.
Yeah I checked that FAQ but after tring all the newest drives/direct x still no avail I'm going to update my windows again but I'm pretty sure I'm up to date.
Hi guys, I'm not entirely sure if this is the best place to post this, but since the official blizzard bnet forum no longer supports diablo I figured here is the next best thing.
Anyway My game crashes as soon as I enter the Diablo menu. It plays the opening video and Diablo cinematic, Then instantly crashes(and or black screens)
My direct X and drivers are both up to date so I'm not sure.
I also tried installing hellfire, hoping that would fix my issue, but alas the same thing happened logo then hellfire opening then crash same as before.
The odd thing is, my disc's both work on my friends computer. So its not a corrupt disc.
I'm on an XP system which as far as I know is completely up to date.
Nvidia 8800 GTS
2 gigs of ram
3.0 ghz p4.
the other computers I tested it on and worked were
vista 64bit
2 nvidia 8800 gtx's sli
4 gigs of ram
quad core 4.0ghz intel
and I also tested it on an old comp
win 95
800mhz
128 ram.
The other two computers worked just fine, So I'm not sure why mine doesn't. Any Ideas?
