When I was twelve, I used to replay that over and over again. To this day, I'm still trying to figure out how to write a sentence that powerful. That line is just so perfect. The language, everything. *sigh*
It contains everything that Tyrael stands for: the reasons for his rebellion and love (or rather, respect) of humanity, his self assurance even in the face of an equal adversary (Diablo had not yet regained his strength)... It's even kind of the show down between light and dark we never saw in the rest of the game. The Angel and the Devil. It's the one place that the storyboard artists gave way to stereotype, but I think it worked well.
I hope the new dialogue lives up to the old. Starved artists usually produce better than fat ones.
Edit~~
And, of course, Baal's prologue. I wished so badly we could have seen him more as a character, heard more of his speech, saw more of his bodily animations. So perfect. So odd and comical and frightening and powerful and arrogant. So everything demonic. Ugh.
