Mm no Zoltun Kulle has his own event. I should have provided that too I guess. Let me find it.
Oh I did. It's the last one. Defeat Zoltun Kulle. Act 2.
Im not that knowledgable on Zoltun Kulle but was he already corrupt?
And Doomscream, even though its datamined material I still treat everything here as speculation to keep the surprise when I actually play the game. So just tell yourself "Its not real, Its not real, there is no spoon" while your reading this topic.

Blizzard used to care about releasing Diablo III, then they all took an arrow in the knee...
I just remembered.. Isn't Cain "looking" for something in the Cathedral in D3 when the meteor hits? And doesn't Azmodan reference that Diablo is "seeking" the black soulstone in the cinematic? Coincidence that both Cain and Diablo are both seeking the same object? or are the two one in the same seeking the black soulstone?
-again more biased speculation.. I really have a grudge against Cain I guess

Good point HabeasPorpoise.
But Daemaro, didn't even King Leoric show signs of evil when he was corrupted. He killed off lots of people and sent people off to their deaths and ruined his kingdom. Leah doesn't exhibit any of those signs.
Now Im not saying she doesn't get corrupted in D3, but Im thinking that she may be more of a victim than Diablo in disguise. Im going with someone else puts the soulstone in.
The End of the Horadrim Event
-Cain is horadrim if not the last of them, And the only way to end someone during an event is to kill it (or someone else kills it)
-"you may already be too late" as in the last of the horadrim has already begun some kind of black soulstone ritual.
Im still missing a connection between the above 2 paragraphs...I think i need diablo 3 the game to complete my theory.

That's a good theory, especially since I think the devs at what point said that the storyline in D3 is constructed to make it seem like the events of D2 played into Diablo's hands.
Another thing that's been bugging me is the whole Leah thing. The theory that she is Diablo or the spawn of Diablo seems to make sense. But in the cinematic and the game she just doesn't SEEM evil, in fact she cries in the cinematic when she encounters Azmodan. Crying just doesn't seem very Diablo-like.
The datamined part: A1_LeahReining_Taunt_Text You may already be too late...
Could be about Leah turning into Diablo unwillingly, but if she is being turned into Diablo unwillingly that would mean someone is making her turn... Resurrecting diablo through leah.
One of my ongoing speculations is Cain is somehow involved... that man is always around where there is trouble yet never gets harmed by evil (first Tristram in D2 and now the Cathedral in D3)- everytime you see a character like that in a movie or story he usually turns out to be trouble.

Here me out on this one, but usually when software developers number something it means that there are more of that something to follow. If there is only 1 of something then it doesn't get numbered at all. Example: This_batch_uped1 means there will be a This_batch_uped2 BUT This_batch_uped means there are no more plans for that item.
So the datamined material DiabloFight_Phase1 seems to indicate there will be a phase2 of Diablo fight and if its not in the datamined material then likely an expansion.
