I really don't think the Diablo storyline would cause any disturbance at all with religious people. That would make them hypocrites anyway with the holy wars, jihads and genocides
Its just a game...
The storyline would be based on the third book.
Man, this guy is so wrong.
That's the third book.
Legacy of Blood, The Black Road and The Kingdom of Shadow, although they have #1, 2 and 3 on the covers do they follow the same storyline?
Legacy of Blood is to do with Bartuc, Horazon, Arcane Sanctuary etc
Lol lucifer is the devil the devil is diablo.........GOD DONT YOU READ YOUR BIBLE??!!!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!
Diablo lore may of been influenced by Judeo-Christian myths but it doesn't mean that it follows it perfectly, the lore is also related to many pagan religions as well. Then there is the lore which is half way between.... annoying "Grey areas".
Satan and Lucifer are different. Lucifer is only mentioned once in the King James bible and he is mentioned as "son of the morning", his name also translates into "to bear light" or something similar. I read somewhere else that the name "Lucifer" referred to a Babylonian King but it was mistranslated and over the centuries became synonymous with Satan. And I read somewhere else that Lucifer represented Venus, the morning star. Whereas Satan is properly identified and recognized many times in the bible the name "Lucifer" isn't really explained that well. Too many Grey areas
I'm not entirely sure but I think that Diablo translates into "Devil" not "The Devil" meaning Satan.
job listing site at blizzard.com and at the top it should say that they are looking for landscape artists for the diablo team
I wasnt debating the fact that they may have a Diablo 3 game under construction (btw, on the blizzard website it says "Secret Project" not Diablo)
I was speaking about this...

I've heard that D3 will start off in heaven, and also that they finished D3 at blizzard north like 3 years ago but it wasnt fun so they started over
Who said that Diablo 3 will start in heaven? who said that they made it 3 years ago?
I usually dont correct other peoples spelling because my own spelling isnt that perfect, but... its characters, not charitors
And you will probably want to look inside this thread http://www.diablo3.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1288
Its called ' Characters/classes we want to see/be in Diablo 3' Theres a list of character ideas on the front page under Elfen Lied,
other people have posted their ideas aswell.
There is also a comprehensive character idea called 'The Overseer' on page 64, by Archie which is pretty interesting. and my shitty character idea that i never really bothered expanding on which is on the next page after that.
Yea it seems like the powers of demons/angels change from time to time
Diablo in Diablo1 is pretty weak compared to Diablo2 because he possessed a child (i think)
Inarius is an angel, creator of sanctuary and he gets owned by Mephisto
Tyreal has a hard time taking on a baal and diablo when theyre both in their very weakened states, he doesnt make it look very easy (im guessing they escape because i cant remember what happens after that)
So... its entirely possible that Belial and Azmodan will be in Diablo 3, Although i think when the three prime evils were initially overthrown into Sanctuary in their 'spirit' forms it was done by ALL of the lesser main evils and not just Belial and Azmodan.
Also, Mephisto had 2 offspring that were only mentioned in the novels (i think) daughter called Lillith and a son called Lucion. Andariel being Lilliths strongest daughter... So really there is many possibilities when it comes to demons, there is still many to be slain

Characters for D3? you mean the ones that we made up or a list of ones people suggested?
Hmm, maybe the pandemonium event will eventually tie into Diablo lore... i wonder why lillith has her fathers brain:)
Yea but she was added later, and no lore of her was even recorded in the game (i think)
