I think it's obvious enough with just the text. Doing something with the images might look cool, but I wouldn't say it's necessary.
One other random thing I noticed - you've got the weapon Fortitude but not the armor. I dunno if any other similar runewords (like Spirit) share this problem.
They're both there, I just forgot it's a stupid idea to use the runeword titles for array indexes when the same name can represent multiple runewords, so the code is skipping the second instance which, in this case, is the armor. *sigh*
Everything should display correctly now. If it looks like any others are missing, LMK. Fortitude and Spirit are the only duplicate runewords, correct?
It's a bit weird that when you have only 1 out of 5 runes needed, the runeword still shows under "runewords I can almost make". I think it would be better if it showed only the runewords for which you are missing only 1 rune, or have >= 50% of the runes.
Oh, you made that last one Mag? That's awesome. I'll be using that one then.
Just a heads up. If you click the "select all" button, and then deselect them one by one, the button still reads "deselect all" but actually selects them. If you didn't get that, try it out yourself. It shouldn't be hard to fix.
Yeah, it's a logic error that I'm still trying to work out. I've been staring at it for two straight hours.
It's a curious thing, although it makes sense. You'll see "if($(childrenName + ':checked').length)". Since computers interpret 0 as false, and since the Javascript length property starts at 0, when there's only one item checked, it sends zero to the if statement, and it interprets it as false. Or at least that's what I think is happening.
Anyway, I do keep finding partial solutions, but unfortunately they've all broken something else in the process.
cool; i think it can be done in flash too in any actionscript 2.0 or 3.0 hahaha can`t wait to see that, being graphical makes it enjoyable and convincing to use.
What exactly would you be looking for? Runewords aren't items, so I can't think of a way to represent them with item graphics. I guess I could add the graphic for each rune image...?
(I could achieve the same level of animation with Javascript, if I knew what you were thinking/knew how to do it; although, it looks like Actionscript is based on ECMAScript, which is what Javascript is based on, so I might be able to learn it fast.)
Buttons should explode into gore and there should be shrill overtones of human slaughter, battle, and dull vibrations of rattling chains in the ambient background. I also vote for a chat gem that grants wishes.
It would be really simple with Javascript, no need for Flash or anything. Just need a huge ass array of all the runewords and their details and then sort them in reaction to, say, form selections.

That would also nicely limit the number of results. Updated.
I'll convert the drop down list to a checkbox list in case a user wants both.EDIT-
Fixed. Do you think the effect on missing runes is enough or should I do something to the rune images?
(Also added some quick links immediately under "x results found" - if you click one, it'll take you straight to the runeword. Handy for long results.)

(And anything else you can think of?)

(Javascript + canvas element = instant sockets)
