"white" is usually called "caucasian". just saying. also, Zach Galifianakis is of greek origin (i'm greek myself but i dont think i look like him) and he's caucasian too, as are we all greeks.
Wait what? All Greeks are Caucasian? I thought they were all gay?
OMG...she lied to me. Damn!
Well, look at the bright side- now that you finally know what you look like, you no longer need a mirror anymore...especially with a featureless face.
On topic- I seriously doubt game companies create characters to appeal to different demographics. More like they just want them to have diversity and some originality.
First of all, note to OP- am not trying to put you down. My very first post was certainly stating the obvious but it formed part of my argument.
Labels are the very start of stereotypes Scyber. Soon you'll have- all black people are like this...all eastern people are like that.
It's cool one is able to identify with their character through the features of the latter. It remains personal- in terms of tastes and values and of course appearance.
My point was that games are usually free of all these Earth bindings, associations and labels that pertain to a particular ethnicity.
Heck, blizz even created a whole new world for them.
The character is 'untainted'. It's not a matter of how pale or how dark their skin is, it's a matter of how kickass their abilities are.
For me everyone in Diablo is and will always be a Sanctuarian.
I feel blizz celebrated the uniqueness and variety in the human race, not an ethnicity and I like to look it like that.
Of course that is just my way of seeing things. Personal.
Come on Nekro, he's just saying that he would like to play a char that is inspired in his own ethnicity... he's not labeling anybody...
and yeah, she looks like a babe... that's why I'm playing her first, I love to see chicks fighting against all the hordes of hell and beating the hell out of them xD
FTW!!!!
Hmm...you are right...I guess I was being a bit picky. My apologies. It's just that I don't like the extrapolation of game characters to real world ethnicity or background... It's kinda close-minded...Oh...scrap that. Let's pass over it.
Hehe...i must admit badass chicks are impressive...
Wouldn't want them beating up on my ass though...The female barb looks like she might do just that. xD
@Nanaki- you are right, blizz did the effect on seismic slam just perfectly. The barb looks like a real powerhouse now.
I would tell my friend that she's female and also she's an arrogant brat and can wield lightning, summon tornados and can do arcane magic.
That's all the description that anybody should need.
I mean who would want to play a char...because she has 'general Asian traits'(as you say) or because he's dark skinned? It's about how badass their abilities are.
I mean appearance matter not except when you get the game going and you need some cool armor for some eye candy.
At least it works out this way for me.
Yeah we all know that but we are relating the game to our actual world....
(still love that donkey sig)
Well it will not work( I mean relating the game to the real world).
1. it's a game. While some its inspirations must have come from the real world, nothing says that the inspiration was based on only one type of 'background'.
Look at the monk. Where will you place him? He's obviously from a mixture of backgrounds.
2.Mentioning Asian is just stereotypical thinking. Not all Asians have the 'general' similar traits associated with the wizard. We need to break out of this 'conformalism' and stop linking traits and color to a particular country or part of the world...
Oh and thanks mate. Donkey for the win.
@Junction- Ya baby...just need the zombie dogs now. xD
Actually she's not from Asia, so no she's not Asian.
She's from sanctuary.
And no the WD is not from Africa...so he's not African.
He's from sanctuary.
Does it really matter what the 'real' background of the characters are?
I mean if you were an Asian and you could summon lightning or an African who could summon zombie dogs, I would understand...
But I haven't yet met any that could do it.
So can we just stick with sanctuary here....
It shouldn't matter what 'real background' the characters have. You got a mixture of ethnicity in every country. So it's time we actually move forward and stop thinking...hey all Africans are black....or some other such ridiculous presumptions.

Racist.
But what race are you?
Can't be white. That's for sure. The traits don't match.
But it is obvious that pic has been photoshoped. You seem to have some features on it.
And we all know that in reality it is impossible.
I'll report you for your deceitful ways.
On topic- I seriously doubt game companies create characters to appeal to different demographics. More like they just want them to have diversity and some originality.
Could be the beginning of a conspiracy where Blizzard plans to conquer the world.
Hmm...long pointy nose. Indeed that is very alarming.
Keep up the great work Columbo. You are definitely onto something.
Hear hear.

Great choice buddy. His skill effects look awesome.
I'll play either WD or monk i think.
