it's a lot more believable that a few people died on the spot that it was cast than a few people wearing identical masks, actually. so yes. it's not 'out of nowhere', either.
You missed the point; what I'm trying to get as is its magic. If the WD wants a zombie wall with masks, he can put masks on them.
/agreed...i dont think it makes sense that wherever i cast it a few dozen people in identical masks died
But it makes more sense that someone could summon a zombie wall out of nowhere if they wanted to? I'm pretty sure if the WD can summon zombies out of the ground then he can also put masks on them with ease.
Okay so I got to thinking last night about locust swarm. The first time he uses it the narrorator says something to the effect of "leaving nothing behind but bone" and then they zoom in on some skeletal figures.
So I'm thinking; locust swarm shouldn't work on skeleton mobs.
Keep in mind that he was probably very high level for that area to demonstrate the "coolness" of the spell. Don't expect it to be a 1 hit kill the first time you use it.
I was watching the game play video and listened to the language of them talking about the Witchdoctor a little closer this time. While they were talking about the Skills of the Doc they say, " (The Whichdoctor) Being a master of both desiese and fire". This gives us disease, summon, and fire trees. I was wondering if you guys thought that comment. this might be the only fire class and Diablo and if these means there would be a full fire tree. This would of course take fire away from the sorc class giving room for Arcane or a Black magic tree. This leads me too a few questions.
1) Are you for or opposed to the thought of The Doc being the fire class?
2) If this is true, what skill tree would you like to see replace Fire on the pure spell casters tree (if there is one)
3) Do you think they will rid ice and lightning from the Pure Spellcaster?
4) What other fire abilities could the Doctor Possess?
5) Does the quote warrent the speculation od the fire tree?
1. I don't think he will be the only one with fire. The assassin had fire skills, as well as druid, sorc, and amazon.
2. There will be a caster class. Chances are it will remain Ice, Fire, Lit. Although you're idea of black magic would be interesting.
3. No.
4. Maybe a tiki torch that would simulate something of the barb's ward that attracts enemies.
5. I would say that the tree wouldnt be purely fire spells; but I may be wrong.
The Witch Doctor will not be my first character. That's all I'm going to say right now.
Agreed.
First of all, Sorcs 4 lyfe.
Second of all, something will be overpowered right out of the box. The idea is to find out what that is and play something else. All the new people to diablo will be playing the OP class, get the nerf, then be looking at other classes. Hopefully they'll see a veteran that knows how to build what they're playing. (Should the skill trees be similar of course)
We have one convenient locations...in Africa.
..or something like that.
Actually, I found that bit I was just talking about. Here.
