What I like about Monks in D&D they were super bad ass. Upper level monks could drop off a 100' wall and use the wall to buffer their fall without getting injured. They're fists and skin became harder and harder with each level they passed. They're stealth skills were unsurpassed, and they could attack with speeds only a Jedi could counter. Their stun punches were devastating and they became increasingly resistant to magic attacks. If they could incorporate features such as that into a D3 character, the monk would so rule.
Exactly, too simple. I just don't see a kung-fu master whooping demonic ass fits into the Diablo world
If they make the character do all kinds of very graphical radical flip flops and kicks and enhance his/her punches with some good graphics it might work. It would be the only character hat does it.
To be honest, I just don't see how a monk fit's in Sanctuary
Sure why not? The sisterhood of the sightless eye (which sees all except the sisterhoods own demise) had a monastery for the sisterhood. Why not a few monks?
Not sure who is saying a monk wouldn't be a good addition to D3. Monks are one of the baddest classes in D&D, they need next to nothing and have mad skills. I think a monk properly done would be and ass kicking character, a good alternative to not bringing back the assassin.
