Name: Ignis Karnagi Gender: Male Race: Human Height: 5’ 9 Weight: 173
Eye Colour: Hazel
Desciption: See image.
Background: Ignis was born in the Westmarch town of Rykan. His mother and father worked in the fields, growing hops for the local tavern. It was a quaint life, spent playing in the woods with his friend Cang, helping out around the farmstead, and listening to stories of his grandfather, who shared his name. His father would tell him stories of the grand adventure, stories of great heists, and of cunning espionage that were all a part of grandfather’s life. He was some sort of spy, Ignis figured. His father would often tease his mother about Ignis becoming more and more like his grandfather every day, Ignis did not know this at the time, but this would lead him down a road he did not want to take.
His friend Cang lived an honest life, his parents had immigrated from a far off land, and had unfamiliar customs. Cang meditated daily, and followed countless codes of honor and morality. This would not have bothered Ignis, had it not made it impossible for Cang to take part in reenacting the stories of his grandfather. They could slay demons and insurgents all day, but those weren’t the stories that Ignis found most interesting. He craved for the thrill of the heist, his sense of adventure burning away at him.
So, Ignis trained himself. He would sneak into houses late at night, and rob them of everything of value. Art, money, pottery, anything that could be sold for some coin. He sold these goods to a man who frequented the tavern his family worked in, pulling in a fair amount of coin for his thievery. His family had no idea: only Cang knew of his pastime. Though he never voiced it, Ignis knew he disapproved. It went against all that Cang was taught in life, yet they remained close friends until they were 16.
Cang was sent away, he was to train with the monks of Xun Island. His ancestors had before him, and so would he. Ignis was saddened to see his best friend leave, but held hope that they would meet again in the near future. He continued on with life, just as any other person would, with his habits beginning to make him quite the fortune. One night however, the man whom he sold his merchandise to came to him with an interesting offer..
Ignis was to deliver a package to the local drug lord, in exchange for a hefty sum of gold. The man entrusted Ignis with this, because from past dealings, he knew he would be able to get it done. Ignis accepted, and eagerly delivered the package, mouth watering at the sum he was to be paid. Months went by, and these deliveries became more and more frequent, and with much more bulk. He was slowly accepted into the drug lord’s inner circle, as one of his most trusted delivery boys, who dealt a little on the side. The gold was flowing into his pockets, he never thought it would stop.
And stop it didn’t. With the drug lord becoming more and more well known among the Rykan underground, he was beginning to become the target of assassination. He scrambled for personal guards, Ignis being one of the first to enlist. He had a knowledge of fighting from his previous rank, deliveries did not always go as planned. Yet, he knew he was not on par with the level of skill his new rank would demand. Thus, he trained with the gang’s enforcers, spending several months sending warnings to the other gangs. He developed an effective, albeit underhanded style of fighting. Peculiar though, was his choice of weapon. Ignis chose to fight with a long, spiked chain. It complimented his dirty techniques perfectly, and he became known as "The Shackler" to the Rykan underground. He knew he wasn’t the best fighter in the gang, but he was confident that he could best all but 3 of the gang’s fighters. With his new found skills and rank, Ignis grew more and more distant from his family. Letters stopped arriving, visits became less frequent, and Ignis no longer visited them in turn. He was becoming independent, and he loved it.
With his new rank, he stared death in the face at least once a month. It was something he counted on, and something that gave him a rush like nothing else. Men came for him in the night, loyal servants turned traitor, men even attacked him in the streets. Ignis was always there to turn aside their blades, and take their lives in turn. His old life was a thing of the past, he had a new family now. He thought his position secure, until the day the demons came.
Where the other gangs failed, the demons succeeded. Their boss was outside when fire rained from the sky, he was caught in the path of hellfire and was obliderated almost instantly. Ignis was quick to duck aside, and found himself facing a horde of demons. The town guard turned them back, but Rykan was left devastated and vacant, with only the occasional soul wandering the ruins of the once glorious town. Ignis led the remainder of the gang in the ruins for the next three years, managing to outwit the demons at every turn. Then, one day, he met an old friend in a back alley…
Behaviour: His wit was inherited from his grandfather, there was no doubt of that early in his childhood. As the years passed by, his work in the Rykan underworld left him jaded, even bitter to an extent. Became self sufficient soon after the demons invaded sanctuary.
How you were captured: Wasn't.
--==Weaponry, Armor, and Powers==--
-Weaponry: Long, spiked chain, with throwing 2 throwing daggers positioned on his forearms, and 2 tucked in his boots.
-Armor: Studded leather armor underneath a dark red cloak, bronze bracers on each forearm with throwing daggers set in them, primed for throwing.
-Powers: Unpredictability: Due to Ignis's unorthodox weapon and techniques, he is able to surprise opponents, and easily adapt to their fighting styles.
Speed: Years in the underworld of Rykan trained Ignis to be quick, both on his feet and with his weapon.
Text Colour: Purple.

"One in every 10 million people can potentially have a headache from this pill." God forbid she is the 0.000000001% of having a headache.
Height: (Humans and angels are roughly the same size, with goatmen slightly taller, and demons ranging anywhere from tiny to massive. Keep it within reason, of course. I’d max out height for demons at about 10 feet or so, anything above will be a bit much)
Weight: (Once more, ranges from race to race, keep it within reason)
Eye Colour: (Know the other RP’s where it’s weird to have a freaky eye colour? Well, in this one it’s pretty much necessary to have a weird eye colour, unless you’re a human)
Desciption: (Physical description of your character)
Background: This is where things start to vary from race to race really heavily. For humans and goatmen, you’ve got it easy. All you need is a background story, what you’ve done in your life, ect. For demons and angels, you need a background story, AND you must choose to include several evils/virtues associated with your character (1-3 evils/virtues).Repeat, virtues and evils are for angels and demons ONLY. So If I made a demon, I could choose to associate hatred, deception, and destruction with my character. This would affect the feel of my demon, the powers he has, and his personality
Behaviour: A blurb about how your character acts/ their personality.
How you were captured:Characters MUST be captured at the start of the RP. Players will begin as prisoners in a demon caravan rounding up resistance in Sanctuary. Angels, rogue demons, goatmen and humans will all be within the same caravan guarded by demons.
--==Weaponry, Armor, and Powers==-- (Pick a maximum of 6)
(This is where you choose your characters armor, weaponry, and powers. It is restricted at 6 to prevent absurdly overpowered character, so basically you can’t give your dude every trick in the book. You don’t HAVE to fill all 6 slots, though it is put at a rather high number so people have freedom of creativity)
-Weaponry: (Each weapon would fill one slot. So, for example, if you chose a bow and a sword, you would have filled 2 slots and would have 4 left for the rest of your character.
-Armor: (I really don’t give a shit how you fill this portion, count it as one no matter what you choose to include. So, if you want a full set of plate armor, as well as spikes for a tail, and a shield, it counts as one.)
-Powers: (This is where you put any powers/traits/defining objects your character has. So if he can use ice magic, that’s one slot. Fire magic, there’s another. Summoning, bone magic, ect. Each school of magic takes up one slot. By traits, I mean things like “strength, speed, or intellect”, something they have in excess that gives them an advantage over their adversaries. So if I wanted a character who is really fucking strong, that would take up one slot. Things like animal companions would also take up a slot, as would poisons n’ the like. Basically, this section is for defensive or offensive objects/traits that don’t fit into weaponry or armor.)
Text Colour: (We all need a text colour for our speech, so, claim one while you can.)
This will be mine, by the way.

ALRIGHT, due to demand, we're posting the character creation thread ahead of schedule.
Be SURE to read the descriptions of each section for the character sheet, as there have been significant changes made to it, and significant requirements for each race. Also, if you feel the need to add a section to the character sheet that we have no included, feel free to do so. Just be sure to ask first.
And I swear to god, if we end up with a bunch of overpowered characters, somebody is getting punched in the dick. Make them believable please, it makes these RP's work so much better :D.
Bit of backstory for each race before we get into the character sheets, sheets will be in the post below this one to avoid clutter.
Humans- Your back is up against the wall, and you’re fighting for your life. It was two years ago that the demons finally overtook the Heavens, and it was two years ago that the fate of Sanctuary was left in peril. They come in ever increasing numbers, whittling away what settlements you have left, slowly and methodically killing those who put up a fight, and dragging off those who don’t. You must make a stand, or die at the hands of the hordes.
Goatmen- When the Worldstone shattered, the magics pervading your people shattered with it. Almost overnight the bloodlust and hatred filling your species dissipated, leaving the tribes confused and renewed. Making peace with the humans, trying desperately to repair years of war, you thought your race was finally going to succeed. Now, that is all threatened with the onslaught of the Hells. You must band together with your human allies, and take up arms against those who would tear away your world.
Demons- The lords of Hell are not known for their mercy. Still, you thought they would welcome you back. It was not your fault, how could you know your previous lord Namphiel was secretly working for Heaven? You were only following orders, you were only doing as you were told. But, now it matters not. They will kill you all the same. You need allies, and you need them fast.
Angels- Trapped. Trapped in this burning world. Unable to return to your desecrated home, and unable to find others of your kind. You are alone, one of the few individuals who survived the invasion of the Heavens. The demon patrols are becoming harder and harder to evade, you know they will catch you eventually, it’s all a matter of how long you can survive: and how many of them you can take with you.
