I'll take your opinion as just another person who never played the Wii.
My roommate has a Wii, and I will be the first to admit that I have played maybe a whole 10 games on it and 2 of them were out of the realm of causal (although I do have a lot of fun with the occasional party game). I cant get into the Wii because I feel like it has both a huge loss of control with the Wiimote and a library of games I really cant see my self playing. I have sinked countless hours into my PS3 and love it dearly, and if torch light 2 ever game out for both PS3 and Wii I would completely ignore the Wii version wile i figure out if i would prefer it on my PS3 or my computer.
Yes I disagree... to the point that I thought you were being sarcastic. I just imagine wiggling the wiimote in a lightning like shape to cast lightning bolt. A "C" shape with a lightning bolt shape at the end of it for chain lightning. A "E" shape with a lightning bolt shape at the end for energy shield and so on... it would never work.
And you know they would add the useless mechanics like jiggle the wiimote up and down to cast a TP, roll it in circles to view dropped items, throw it into your TV to end the game. I foresee huge fails.
IMO the wii is great for casual games and party games like WarioWare, but when it comes to one that's as involved as Diablo or Torch, there's no chance it will work. The games their selves would feel more at home on the PS3 and 360, but i do agree sure the controllers would be a little awkward.. but far more natural than on the wii.
