Not much to do in the editor, to be honest. Coming from the 3 classes, I suppose most character development is going to happen in-game. Which is good.
On the other hand, I'm getting kind of worried about the game's color palette. If it's going to be shades of grey and brown and red, this game will get boring really fast.
From what I know Dragon Age won't use DND per se. They did not like how artificial DND ruleset feels in a computer game setting, so they created one from scratch that follows the framework of DND but takes into account things that are too hard, annoying, or complicated for tabletop to deal with.
I'm not sure what it is but there's something wrong with NWN2. I can't put my finger on it. Maybe it's the party thing and how you have to change all your party members all the freaking time...

dling the creator now, should be fun, spent a lot of time with the Spore creator (never played Spore itself, though, lol).
