[spoil] No at that specific point in the game she wants to become pregnant. So your only choice is to not bang her if you want something different. Do you have PC version? You must have accidentally accepted her offer [/spoil]
Well the graphics aren't anything to scoff at either. They're actually pretty nice on full high settings. Especially for a game with this many cutscenes/interactive talking etc. I mean it puts your character and your gear right into the cutscene and action. It really makes you feel like you matter to the story.
I beat it as a Elven Mage, that was fun, though the friendly fire is annoying. Even on easy your friends won't take friendly fire damage but they are still frozen by cold spells, and stuff like that. I guess though if they weren't affected at all it would have been REALLY over powered.
The choices is what's driving me to play again I believe I'm going to try a 2 handed human warrior. And try to choose "good" choices.
Mods should start coming out soon, and that will be a whole nother bucket of goodies.
Also a little spoiler from probably one of the most epic fights in a game in a long time:
[spoil]First day they come and catch everyone..
Second day they beat us, and eat some for meat..
Third day the men are all gnawed on again..
Fourth day we wait and fear for our fate..
Fifth day they return and its another girl's turn..
Sixth day her screams we hear in our dreams..
Seventh day she grew as in her mouth they spew..
Eighth day we hated as she is violated..
Ninth day she grins and devours her kin..
Now she does feast, as she's become the beast.[/spoil]
This was the best RPG I have played in the last 6+ years. I just finished my first run through as a Elven Mage. The choices you make can greatly alter your ending, my ending was pretty sad.
Having a grand time with this game, anyone who wants a genuine RPG experience with a vast story and many choices will love this. The fighting is also challenging if you bump up the difficulty.
That's certainly encouraging. Could you give me the exact name of your card though? I'm on a 7950 GT with 256 instead of 512.
Actually it seems I'm running a 512 that they stopped making a while back. It's the 8600GT.
I only have 2gb RAM though, and a dual core 2.1ghz processor. So I'm not sure if you could run it or not, I want to say yes still. It's hard to get lower RAM and processing power than me nowadays.
The Xbox version I imagine would look very similar to the medium graphics on PC, but the downside is inventory management is never as good on consoles, really no controls are. Also the game will have a toolset out for modding which of course you can't use on consoles. So if I was you I'd go ahead and buy for PC and maybe upgrade your card if need be, though I'm pretty sure you could run it medium.
If anyone who gets DA is running on the bare minimum hardware requirements (we're talking a 256 MB card) I'd really appreciate some insight into how it runs and what settings you wind up using. I'd hate to have to get this for the 360.
I have a 256 card and it runs fine on medium settings, anything about that not so great though. But medium looks pretty good, better than I had expected at least.
So, yeah, I think you get your bang for your buck. Or should I say slash for your cash. /teehee
Even if you prefer xbox id get it for pc and play with a controller or something.
People are just picky about graphics nowadays I guess.

Looks about how it runs on the computer on Medium-High.
I will say though that the controls are bound to be much better on PC.
I haven't found a good mod database for the game yet though.
I pre-orded it so I got him for free though.

I dunno who "they" are.
IGN gave it a 9.2
Gamespot a 9.5
Metacritic a 9.0
I get my copy in a few hours.
Only complaints I've been hearing is the graphics aren't as great as they could be. They look fine to me.
I think you will like it, really reminds me of a modern day Baldur's Gate.
Also since it's called "Origins" I figured it was given that there'd be more.
Reserved my PC copy today.
I think it will run on low settings but just how does it look on low?
