I did all raids in vanilla and pre BC...only made it to the 4 horsemen in vanilla tho nvr got full t3 :(....so I know all about how raids work
The leveling wont bother me ive done it a million times
The only worry I have is that now with the expac out for a bit and all my buddies have long cleared all 10 and 25 man raids once i hit 80 there aint gonna be a raid spot for me on any server cept for shit guilds at this point lol....if it wasnt for this worry id jump right in and be 80 in a matter of days :P...im really used to being on top of all the current raids so that would suck balls
since you are experienced in raiding you shouldnt have that much of a hard time getting to a decent raiding guild. Gearing up with epics from heroics (badges and drops) is pretty simple these days, there's even quite a few Naxxramas pugs these days that finish the dungeon (mostly the 10 man, but its good to give you good chances for the bigger guilds).
Anyway, in my guild its always skill over gear and attitude over skill, so its worth a shot to try it.
if you got time to spend on raids - count 3-4 hours on that - then go ahead. If not it might be fun to level your main and alts, do some casual dungeons and heroics, some PvP too, but you miss out on the good stuff.
Warhammer Online is better for casual gamers just for the "leveling while doing pvp" part of the game.
