It' by no means supposed th feel like a chore RP'ing, if that's the case then you're better of on a PvE/PvP server.
I personally think it's quite fun pretending you're the character you play as. But remember this, only the /say and /yell are the real roleplaying channels. General, trade, LFG, Party, Guild and whispers are all out of character unless you want them to be for roleplaying as well. So if you want to know someone, feel free to, just don't talk to them in regular /say.
idk i just figured that it probably was a chore, but if your saying its not than i'll take ur word for it. i really didnt know anything about RP servers, thats why i asked

idk... it just seems werid to me thats all. I play in a normal realm and have an alt in a PVP. it just seems like WoW it already a complete escape from reality, it seems like in an RP server you have to take that a step further and really get outside urself. for me personally i like to get to know some of the other people i play with and who is actually sitting behind the keyboard, not some story/character that they made up. but everybody has their preferences..

ive never played on an RP server before, whats it like exactly? do you really have to develop somekind of story behind ur character? and if so how is that incorporated into the game?

the expansions really add to game play toward the end of the game, so if ur just starting out with WoW or dont play that often... or not at all. than i could understand why you dont really see the point of expansions

whatever u want bro...still its gonna be harder for u to lvl in prot spec man(more time to kill a mob)...if ur planing to quest ret is still the best...and for dungeons holy is more needed then prot ...anyway u choose GL man prot is fun anway
yea i guess we'll see what happens, i also wanna see what patch 2.3 has in store for ret pally's so i'm gonna at least wait until then before i end up changing the spec again

actually ur still lvling ur pally so the best spec for u(if ur willing to lvl up ur pally to 70) is actually retribution...later u must be holy IF u want to go PVE or be part of a good guild...for pvp ret is the best...a ret pally witha nice gear >all classes gear is badly needed tho ...prot is for fun actually but prot pally isnt rlly needed they generally prefer a prot warrior or even a feral druid as a tank then prot pally even tho a prot pally is rlly good...btw if u want to arena holy pally with merciless healing gear with any other melee partner like rogue or warrior could rlly help u raise ur raiting up u dont need to be pvp spec in arenas not at all ...it even sucks sometime
well i ended up switching to ret... but im thinkin about going back to protection after i get into outland or perhaps when i get into the 60's

Well, I'm just seeing what I like and should go with. My pally is my main, and the other characters are mostly just to see which i like best and furthering that one. So far I think the priest would be the best addition to our group, a holy preist can do alot of healing in instances and such, but idk. Right now I got a bit bored of pally and i just got BC, so my attention is scattered among my alts mostly.
I spent too long not posting this, and I've come to a decision. The priest is going to be the main alt, and my pally im going to keep as main. Might as well, he's lvl 47.
ur still not answering my question about ur pally's talent points.... nevermind i guess

personally i think its kinda rediculous to have 3 alts in your same guild, but thats just me. thats why i suggested u to play on my realm, that way u could play on the horde, have a better experience with that faction, get to play some different content and not always play with the same exact people, in the same exact areas, in the same exact faction. thats whyt im playing an alt on the alliance. its hard for me to understand how that is any fun at all, plus rolling 20 alts each isn't gonna improve ur guild but its whatever i suppose.
Anyway...... the actual question i asked you was about your talent build on ur paladin

I can only base my information on the financial perspective because I have not read into the lore associated with Warcraft and therefore have no real knowlege of other things affected by an expansion.
i see, well personally i always look foward to new expansions and patches for WoW, im always down for new content. im looking forward to the next expansion because its gonna have a good about of content in it. new items weapons, dungeons, etc, not to mention that the new continent, Northrend is going to be roughly the size of Outland. So thats gonna keep players busy for a long time. Not that were not busy with the stuff we have now.
Know what im sayin?

Obviously there are two sides to every story. There will be people that sit on both sides of the fence with this issue. Those of us that don't want to spend all the money on new expansions plus the monthly fee and then those level 70's that want some other territory to raise havoc upon and more instances to run, more levels to gain and more armor to get. Of course there is also the problem with add-ons that are normally rendered useless by an expansion. Unfortunately we rely on others to reprogram those things, for those of us that don't know how, and sometimes it is a long time before the add-on you were familiar with is released with a compatable version of the newest expansion or patch.
All in all a new expansion is:
For Blizzard and Bored lvl 70's - Good Idea
For us broke people that like our add-on's - Bad idea
so bad idea based solely on a finacial perspective?

Hey what do you guys think about that Lich King expansion thing for WoW. Do you think it is a good idea with alot more fun stuff to do, or a crappy addition and starting to kind of ruin the game?
i dont think that its a bad idea to have another expansion. i think that new content is a great idea and its what keeps people playing the game, especially after the hit lvl 70
