Anything we do covert will not be released to the American public. I am still in belief that if we attack first, we will lose allies, the upper hand, and our control.
Australia is somewhat barren, in the middle of an ocean, and was penal colony when it started. I'm pretty sure Australia is safe for now. Any war Australia gets in that involves America first and foremost is trivial in my opinion, just because I believe a people need a purpose before going into a war.
Well, you have to remember that no one within the U.N. does anything until they consult the U.N. Even then we have to make the right choice. South Korea is full of innocent people who could be liable for any strike against North Korea, or they could be used by North Korea. Altogether, it's just smart to wait for their move [in my opinion]. We don't need another Rwanda.
I think it was said that Obama will pull forces out in six months to one year (Somewhere around this time). The fact that he wants to pay more attention to Afghanistan is wonderful, but I think we have enough problems at home for now.
So, in essence, we would be trading our devalued money for a valued good or service? I still keep thinking that no matter what, all will rock to the flow of the dollar, and if the boat sinks, we all go down.
I so love your rocking emoticon.[.quote]
You have my permission to use it :P.
[quote name='VegasRage']I think though what we can do for ourselves personally is more important than what the nation does, you count on them to screw it up and pat themselves on the back while doing it. You can't expect much from the political process anymore, it's too divisive and the media has killed all the Walter Cronkite's off in the world.
I just think that now, in such times of crisis, that the people will be like chickens with their heads off. And when you think about a failing currency in other situations (Mexico, etc.) they always had to adopt a new one. I'm a little frightened to question the next generation's safety in the world of adults. And then I also think, would the next generation do better or screw it up even more?
The dollar looks like it's rough ride is getting closer now because the numbers are showing the world is not buying as much as we are spending and this is a going to put a kink in Obama's reinvest in America programs.
What do you suggest we should do? And better yet, what do you think the government should do?
It's horrible what is happening, yes. Seems the greater of two evils.

Liberation for pure self gain is the only way there can be any gain at all it seems.
Just goin' through the motions..
But it is funny how U.S. helped Cuba gain independence, and now there is strife.
