You could argue that when god makes something so heavy that he can't lift it, it creates a black hole. God in that instance would be the time/space fabric and the mass that fills it (higgs boson anyone?).
i dont leave it "open" in your sense because that isnt an option to me... i dont leave it open to religious things because in my mind everything can be explained by science and things of the religious sense dont exist or have been changed from their origional sense (plague of the frogs, noah etc)
I believe that alternate dimensions may be tied to our existence, and that we might be able to travel to these places once we die, that would be pretty cool.
Childhood of course, I think our parents are the source of our demons mostly. The stability of your family as a child is directly related to how many demons you have and how strong they can become. Either that or god did it.
Possessions, hmm.... I believe we all have demons, not literal ones, but ones that lie within our deep subconscious, waiting for a time when they can surface. Kinda of like a glitch, setting off rampant violent behavior. Some are bound to be hoaxes, some are bound to be the result of psychosis, and some are bound to be a vie for attention.
It always surprises me how people would rather focus on honing their knowledge of war rather than the art of peace. I guess we are all prone to violence at some point, but I feel it is mostly out of ignorance or language/culture barriers. People are just fearful of the unknown and the natural reaction to fear is either to run or fight. I hope that one day people will let go of their fears and learn to embrace their fellow organisms.
The bible is just a guideline, stories with morals. Christianity is a faith based on those stories. That would be the modern day equivalent of basing a religion on a kids television show. People forget that the bible was originally written in Latin and then translated into English. When translation occurs you're bound to lose some of the original meaning. Combine that with a millennium's difference in cultural reference and a hierarchy devoted to withdrawing people's money with the guise of salvation and you are left with a warped religion. I hate religion, I don't believe in the sanctioning of beliefs. I think everyones faith should be their own.

People need solid proof nowadays, you can't just feed them something and expect them to swallow it without some sort of elaboration entailing scientific proof or at least a feasible story that parallels scientific knowledge.
The real question you should be asking is "does it matter?" If everything you could conceive was real, would it matter? Nothing would change except for you're own mind.
