Hey guys Thought it would be cool if we started a thread with pics of us and what we like to do
So I shall do that, I enjoy reading Manga and watching Anime. I am quite the avid fan, as denoted by frequent references to anime and manga in my sig, and of course my username, Elfen Lied. Though in truth my use of that name comes from an old german poem about an elf, hence the name Elfen Lied, or Elf Song.
Here is a shot of me holding some anime/manga memorabilia.
Look who's a full fledged State Alchemist now!!
The pocket watch (which actually keeps accurate time by time way) is a little small so I will supply a larger version of it.

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
Anyone remember that movie 'The Pagemaster' with Macaulay Calkin?
"No way! Im a cartoon!"

Yeh I think I did, right at the start. Wow, someone who actually "read this thread".
I just defeated the point of this thread, so I threw in that one to attempt to get it back on track. I enjoyed my days at tech. Mostly because I did no work or finished it in 5 minutes and then hung out here all day, and still passed all my papers with flying colours.

As for Iron Maiden, Eddie is King. Need I say more.
All bow to Eddie. hehehe
but I can't stand Serj and his screaming.
Damn straight bow before King Edward the Great
I think Daron Malakian does the harder deeper screaming, which is weird because Daron is not a very tall man. But that is beside the point. This thread is suppose to be able us doing stuff, and posting picture of those things, not whether or not you like System of a Down, or whether Eddie is king, even thought it is clearly evident he is.
Ok so this is actually the photo portion of my student ID, which I used when I was studying Information technology at Polytechnic, I just love how the scanner pixelated it so it looks like one of the police mugshots all it's missing is the number board, oh and the side on shot of course and aside from the fact I am seemingly well groomed. Kinda wish I had the Nick Nolte wild hair, or the Mel Gibson dreary eyed/hung over look. Would have made for a fun student ID photo.

What kind of sacreligious fool would put System of a down(disgraceful by itself) in with Iron Maiden(One of the most important metal bands of all time.)?
My name is Joseph, which is derived from the hebrew name Yosef. I have been the butt of many a jewish joke as a result.
System of a Down are four Isralis. I once went through a period where, due to wild hair and a very untamed bush beard I looked very much like a younger Serj Tankian, the lead singer for System of a Down.
While still in this phrase or look, I along with 3 other friends entered a small "Battle of the Bands" type scenario, I assumed the role of a Serj Tankian-like singer, complete with Serj Tankian mannerisms from their first album, lots of screaming and alternating between softer vocal tones and heavy almost demonic vocal tones often within the space of only a few seconds, we didn't win but we didn't do that bad either. Our performance of Sugar was popular among fans. That is the song that mentions the Kumbucha mushroom people who sit around all day. if you look closely at the poster you might notice contains lots of little mushroom people.
As for Iron Maiden, Eddie is King. Need I say more.
Wow, Elfen, since when did you post pictures? You look pretty annoyed on there.
I don't smile much, not because I can't. I am just not a fan of posing, seems fake.
You look alot different that I thought you would... badass
Thank you.
Yes, its true, I broke my own rule and entered this forbidden thread. I have avoided this thread ever since I last posted, but I found myself once again bored and awfully curious of its content ('tis the Alice in me, I know). Fortunately or unforunately, whichever way you want to put it, I managed to come across this picture of Elfen. Once again, my coming to the picture thread has disrupted my impressions of people. I mean to say (and I do try to say what I mean), that Elfen is not as I imagined, so I will ignore what I have seen and continue to imagine him as the pale white Vlad the Impaler with glowing red eyes as I have always imagined him to be. I will take note of his appearance, for curiosity-sake, but leave it at the side of my mind where it will preferably not permit me to create false pretenses of stereotypes related to one's physical appearance.
Though I have to say that I share the same hoodie-cloak fantasy as Elfen does, teehee.
That is generally what this thread was suppose to do, dispell preconcieved notions of what people looked like. But somewhere along the way it ended up being a thread where you could post what ever you wanted (So long as it wasn't porn or Ultra-violence as that is against forum rules). Kind of cool to see what people really look like, as all we have to go on is their mannerisms, conduct and to a certain extent their avatars.
The number of times I have taken someone's appears as the character in their avatar (depending on the avatar of course, Siaynoq would look very weird if he looked like his avy), instead of what they actually look like.
Cool, someone who shares my warped state of mind, no that's not quite the right phrase, although it does work, sense of fashion works to a certain extent to as I do wear the hoodie over my head in public. Bah, nevermind, more important things to do that obsess over whether or not I use the right phrase in a post.

I actually have an older one, that creates a much more distinguished and pointed hood effect. very good for when RPing mages.
And yeah I dig Iron Maiden. Good skill in Diablo II and a good band, just got their greatest hits album the other day.
And here a some things I made a while back.
1. Nerv ID Badge. Nerv (German for Nerve) is the company the makes the Evangelion Units in Neon Genesis Evangelion. A anime series I enjoy, the first line in my sig is the Nerv motto.
2. and 3. Look who works for the FBI.

A recurring joke with Siaynoq, in regards to myself, is that I am a Maori. The somewhat indigenous people of the country in which I live, that being New Zealand. This is of course largely ficticious, as to the best of my knowledge I possess no Maori blood within my veins, it is prodominently Scottish. A fact of which I am most proud. My ancestors, fought at Stirling, Falkirk, Bannockburn and Culloden. Sir Silvester Rattray (the earlier recorded member of my family) was the 4th great grandson of the famous Robert the Bruce, King of Scots.
Rattray is gaelic for small fortified hill.
Magistrate could be the confused one as well. Not that it really matters, all you need to know is I am scottish and Siaynoq continues his little joke at my expense.

Anyway, the first picture makes you seem rather stoic ^.^
That is somewhat they point. As I told you before (that's a quote from Alkor, quoting stuff is something I love to do) I love role palying, RPGs are rife with stoic looking characters. You may recall an image I once used as my avatar here, he was quite the epitomy of stoic.

You coming on to me Ha Ha? Not entirely sure that's a compliment. You and your misconcpetion about my race.
Now if you had said "Elfen you sexy scotsman, you." Now there'd be a compliment I would take gladly.
And yeah I love SC

This thread was about posting pictures of what you love doing, somewhere along through the annuls of history, this thread lost it's way. Unless you all love doing random stuff.
Here is me as I sit in front of my computer doing what I love, theorising aout the Diablo universe, Listening to Iron Maiden (You might notice the Iron Maiden poster just to the right of me), and hanging out here Not that you could see that in the photo though. My proper camera died on me so I used my phone.
Although I am wearing a hoodie, it is true to my nature to think it something more to which I have become accustomed, a hooded cloak. Yes, I do, to a certain extent, dress up when I role play. Mostly just the hood. I lost my staff, and it's cold outside, So I'm not going out there to get my axe.

In the meantime, let us we all enjoy a picture of my pet slinky.
made me think of the futurama episode. "Bendless Love" where Bender's bend free live style has him bending in his sleep, and he straightens Dr John Zoidberg's slinkie.
