And yeah Stormcat likes the warrior/barbarians, *thinks of her BGII character* but what self respecting medieval fantasy character doesn't carry a knife? even the warrior in Diablo pulled out a knife when he cut the soulstone out. No lies. Watch the movie.
So her having a knife wasn't that big of a shock. The fact she used it on Atrumentis, even just threatening him with it, that was unexpected.
And this is good. I like to see things in comics (and movies (though its quite rare in movies nowadays) and books), makes for more enjoyable reading.
Next episode plz. Or part there of.

Indeed I think Siay was talking about the fact Atru had posted 5 minutes before you and you were asking others where he had been like he hadn't posted in months.
When I made my post mentioning "Hiatus. Indefinitely Postponed." Atrumentis' post wasn't there at the time. The last reply to the thread was Phrozendragon's. Atrumentis posted his post while I was typing. I never saw it as after I hit submit I for my post I closed the window. When I returned to the thread later it was to see new posts. But new posts are those in sequence from the last time I posted. Atrumentis' post was before mine, so I still never saw it..
Yep. I don't fully read threads.

Though I will say I recall his last post saying something about a new episode some time before Christmas. He makes no mentioned of ending the comic. So one can assume though possibly incorrectly, that it is still on going. Just over due.
Duke Nukem Forever is in it's 13th year of coming soon status. How much longer could we have to wait for a new episode. Sure not that long right?

I myself have not been here as much as I would like, but can anyone here attest to the activity of Atrumentis as of late?
While I am in no way suggesting his absence is a clear indication he is working on a new episode (one with you in it Goodguy), but I can't imagine him not working on a episode if he is not doing anything else. He said he would work on a new one when he had some time to do so.

Hiatus. Indefinitely Postponed. Anything other than dead. Dead implies it will never continue.
Atrumentis is still in (a) school. So his time is taken up largely by that. Much like mine is with work (err and WOW).
I do not think he would let it die, though there has definitely been a drop in release or episodes as of late.

It's primarily a matter of designing the character based on your personality as that is what we see. Unless you have supplied an image somewhere of what you look like that is.
Avatars and/or sigs are a way around this. We come to associate images with users. While my character in the comic adopts many of my personal traits, his look is 100% based on my signature, specifically the Alucard portion.
I've forgotten what avatar you did use, and you have no image in your sig (at the time of me posting this). Which I guess would give free range to conceptualise your character.
I wonder if that begs the question, will you look like a good guy or not.

I was thinking that for a while, Elfen, but never got around to asking Jetrall or anyone.
They could always approach you, you know. Yeah you heard me artists!
Bring on the parodies, homages, references to pop culture, and ourselves. Like a World of Warcraft that doesn't cost you an additional fee.

I would assume his other commitments deter him from continuing the awesomeality of this most epic of comics.
It is often common place for more than one artist to work on a series. Through reading the series you might notice that the character look slightly different in some volumes/issues than in others.
Both Metzen and Samwise do artistic works for Blizzard games, yet have two very different styles.
I guess my point is, if perhaps Atrumentis is unable to continue his work for a time perhaps another artist might like to step up.

Its a professional level comic imo. Nice rhyming too. 10\10
Large periods of no updates will do that.
The rhyming is good, but not entirely his own work. Lewis Carroll provided much of the rhyme in the book Alice Through the Looking Glass. Which was later stolen by the Disney Corp. and put into Alice in Wonderland. Disney once again displayed their lack of caring for source material and disregarded canon and preconceived ideas. Anyone who was read Alice in Wonderland will know that the Walrus and the Carpenter do not feature in it, and neither do Tweedledee and Tweedledum. Yet the much up about a 6th of the movie.
Nice one Disney, shit on my childhood again. I read the book first before I saw the movie.

Ahah, awesome. That does sound like a cool assignment. I was always afraid of quoting Diablo for risk of some kind of plaigerism. But I guess its more considered a 'homage' rather than just copying them.
Yeah, it was fun, and I did pretty well on it. Thanks Blizzard. Chris Metzen, you rock!!
Copying one person is plagiarism, copying more than one person is research. Plus it's only plagiarism of they can prove it. There are but a handful of teachers, professors and lecturers that I know of that have even heard of Diablo let alone play it. You are generally save borrowing a kick ass phrase or too (Mephisto's act 4 cinematic blibical-esque speech for one, god i love that speech), and get away with it.
But yes, I consider most of my copying to be tributes, homages, or in some cases, parodies of games, movies or books.
I just wish they made a Diablo movie, then I could nominate it for study/presentation in one of my Film-studying classes. That'd be so cool.
It'd be much easier to do diablo-related stuff if I was doing a games or animation course.
The Polytechnical Institute I sued to go to before I got a job had a course where all you did was play Warcraft and Counterstrike all day. One of the entry requirements was exceptional orc slaying skills. No lies. Seriously!!! It was an actual course. I applied. but couldn't take it, as I was farming at the time, and that was during calfing time, which was almost a 24/7 job. I wish I could have just dropped everything to take that course but I couldn't. It had no corrispondence thing either, which sucked ass.
It would be much easier yes, but some assignments are vague as misleading, these ones usually give you much room to play with. I've had a few assignments in English Social Studies, History and Geography about social, economical and climate stuff that I have been able to cite references to Sanctuary for.
Some of you may have noticed I have on occasion divulged some heavy structured points about the landscape of Sanctuary, and other points about the infracture of various cities and towns.
Application. It is an art form.
The second you see an opening, get the hell in there before it closes!
But on a more serious note, yeah, the masses complaining is really all that has gone on since the game was announced. There was that WWI card thingy contest, Few mildly interesting debates about whether the angel was Tyrael or Imperius, but mostly a lot of the same stuff over and over again and err... that um thing, you know with that whatzit guy, you know the one, he did that thing with that uh.. dohickey.

I was at university and we had to make our own website for one of the courses, we could make it on anything we wanted. I choose Diablo 1. Got an A- for it. Not bad.
I would hate to think that somehow I am this super lucky fortunate guy who managed to get just the best classes which allowed him to indulge in his love for his hobbies in any subject he took, because that simply is not the case, I had plenty of bum subjects I ground my way through, tolling away with crap after crap.
But when I did get as break, I was all over it.
We had this one assignment where we were given a picture of an old run down house with a box on the front porch, so naturally my story leaned towards the horrific and vile side of humanity, the contents of the box, to quote marius (which yes, I did do on the assignment) "was not meant for mortal eyes" and the sounds that emanate from the house "were like a thousand needles in my heart". Also got to throw in some kick ass vampire/frankenstein myths and general folklore regarding "doctors" having large boxes of body parts delivered to old spooky houses.

I really don't like having to say that "I don't have time" all the time, and I know it sounds like a crappy excuse, but its true. I spent waaay too much time on the comic last semester and my grades suffered for it
Then you just failed in somehow making the comic your school work. Surely you must have some class wherein you must make a comic or story or something. I did when I went to school, in English we had to do creative story writing or comic making all the time. it was fun, but I was never very good at the drawing side. Was pretty good at the pure writing stuff though.

Though there has not been a truly huge event for some time, would have to be some sort of collection of smaller events compiled together to form some kind of great adventure.
Unless you were to do something about the masses complaining about stuff. While a fairly boring concept in itself, it is what happened.

Not entirely sure how what year it was said in would matter here. It was the context of said quote I was applying here.
But if you really must know, I believe it was said in a radio broadcast in October of 1938, I am not entirely sure of the exact day in October though.
My knowledge is vast, but it has it's limits, and yes, despite any evidence to the contrary, I do not infact know everything, nor have I made any such claim to have knowledge of, or to know everything. I would be a fool to think otherwise.
