***This one disappointed me. I expected to at least be able to play at 1980x1200 resolution(native for the lcd) even if i had to turn settings down some to get better frame rates. Unfortunately to get the framerate up to a level that i consider playable(30-45fps average minimum) i had to drop not only settings to low, but also lower the resolution down to 1366x768 to get respectable performance at the expense of looking blurry due to not being the screen's native resolution. at 1980x1200 even at minimum quality settings i was getting framerates below 15 and even under 10fps at times whenever there was any sort of action, which is exactly when you NEED high framrates to be able to enjoy the game.
That's not possible.. I got a similiar Asus R.O.G. Laptop with the quad i7 on 2,0 Ghz and 8GB RAM but same grahpics.
I score 14.000 Points on 3DMark06 and the laptop is generally an high end product of 2011.
Shouldn't it run D3 on max settings, when I can do nearly the same with Skyrim?
Exactly. To the person running the laptop, have you changed your battery settings to high performance? My second thought would be that your processor is pretty slow, i'd consider upgrading.
Looks like you've got the graphics card and ram down, but I'm not sure how many cores D3 will recognize (wow only recognizes two, so having a quad core does you no better good when strictly running it). I bring up your processor speed (2.0) just because the min requirements are stating 2.8 +, but who knows it will most likely run fine =D
Also, if wow does recognize more than two cores please correct me, I am just passing on what my tech buddy told me =)
