-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
Post #382 lists previous suggestions (via links), the last suggestion was number 67, thus the next one, would logically be, 68.
69. More Useful Links on the home Page
Some of the links on the homepage, are either redundant now or seldom used. New links people will actually use should be put there in there place. Such as; Diablo Wikia Solomir's Guide to the Diablo series Arreat Summit

But yeah, I don't think the cursor is a good idea. At least with the default curser you know everyone will be happy.
In the end, simplicity works for all parties concerned.
Smilies shouldn't be a problem, and neither should emoticons. And that little thing in the top left corner, currently its a 'e' on a piece of paper, certain sites have faces, www.battle.net/war3 is a peon's head i think. I think Phrozendragon and I dicussed this earlier at some point, but we should, barring anything copyright issues, have one that is the likeness of Diablo.

Unique pointers are fun and all, I would totally love the guantlent. Just heard one of the Priest's lines in WCIII.
"I have been chosen.... by the big metal hand in the sky"
Also the guantlent appears in Diablo 1 and 2. However they do take up a bit of bandwidth, and in truth not everyone is a fan of them. the generic arrow is easier to manage.

Oh and Jetrall if you have time, if any of the suggestions in the lists on the previous pages are within your abilities, could you look into implimenting them. Thanks.
Trying a different tactic, the site doesn't like me posting all the suggestions submitted (and not all are mine by the way, I just complie them)as one post.

My name is there becuase the coding is only for Top Poster, singular. And currently that is me. Used to be Silver at one point, way back in Mar-Apr 06.
I mentioned having it say Top Posters, so I'm not quite so lonely at the top.
But featured member might be cool. Though my forum coding is n00bish to say the least, I wouldn't know how such an honour would be bestowed upon the deserving.

It would probably include more "categories" than just those who left.
But a list of those who left seems like more of a wall of rememberance, than a Hall of Fame. Leaving isn't exactly something to be proud of, one is normally inducted into a Hall of fame for a great accomplishment.
Ferret would be in there for all his work on LOD for example.
But the overall concept of your idea sounds good.

Possible. It would be fairly obvious who is trying to score as much coinage as they can in the least amount of time.
BTW, nice avy/sig combo.

True, and that is never a bad thing, but it also invites spam/flood. "If I post I get richer, If I post again I get even richer, Spam and flood your way to fortune WOOHOO!!!"
And I don't think you could stop that, save from how we have always stopped it. merging/deleting. But that would only deal with the posts/threads themselves, they would have already recieved their money. I don't think deleting a post or thread subtracts from their total.

I never saw the purpose of adding forum gold to this site. Ok, so artists get their gold. What are they going to use it for? Where will regular people get it from?
Generally speaking forum gold is accumulated by makeing posts and threads. It is then, depending on the site, used to buy things like custom titles, avatars, signatures, shiny little icons to adorn your post profile, etc.
I'm not sure what an artist would do with the gold he or she recieves from someone buying their artwork though.
Perhaps allow a user to customize how they view the forum then, allowing each and everyone to select how they want it? Perhaps that's quite challenging, I don't know. But this is the suggestion forum isn't it?
that does seem challenging. As it requires the blank or unedited version and the edited version with all the new names, I think you woule either impliment them or not.
And Atrumentis, your names are good, at the time it was suggested, as this is a Diablo forum, we decided to go with names of places from the game.

67. Selecting an Avatar from a group of Images Instead of providing your own image for use as an avatar, some forums provide a wide assortment of images of characters relating to the subject matter for you to pick from to use. We should have that here, The images would more than likely be various pictures of the characters, bosses, NPCs, skills, etc.
68. Display In game Usernames Somewhere in either a person's post profile (the panel just to the left of this text) or their public profile there should be someone to display what usernames they use for LOD, as possibly other games they play, WOW, GW, NWN, WCIII, etc. IT might help avoid any more of those "hey what is everyone's user name on [insert game here]?" thread being made.

I don't do look, layout or features for this site, but yes I agree with you about the avatar thing.
Oh and there is an edit button. You don't have to make new posts for each new thought.
