You're right. I did forget a won't. But as long as we understand each other nonetheless.
Eh, I really don't care if this thread gets closed or not. Like I said, until the appoint a new mod, I'm not going to be closely following forum etiquette that much, e.g. our coffee conversation.
Well the thing is, what I've mentioned there is the majority of what I plan to do. But that doesn't mean I'll also be dealing with flame wars, trolling, and giving the most serious offenders temporary bans. But I couldn't think of anyone right now that deserves a temporary ban so it just seems like I'm very unlikely to ever do that.
And even if all I did was delete the bot threads and merged similar threads or closed pointless threads, those things alone would really clean up the forums a lot.
It actually boggles my mind why this thread hasn't been closed. Ya know?
I've made it clear that the majority of my moderating would involve deleted the bot threads, mergins similar threads, and seldomly deleting spam posts.
and thats why we like you, such a quality, makes for a good moderator.
thats cool, and Silver doesnt do any messing with those i lead. the majority of the time on LOD he does as any gamer should, help out new players in our guild, avenge the deaths of those who were TPPKed, trade items he does not use or has no further need for.
orders are handed down from Silver to the sub guild leaders, the sub guild leaders then instruct the recruits to execute those orders.
Are any of you even playing Diablo II anymore? Cause I never seen any of you on there. Ever. And I need runes dammit!
Actually, when I was an active member back a 4 or 5 months ago, Muttonchops was one of the most active members in the community. His intellectual debates and information made many speechless. Though he was always the one to start the flamming.
Hehe, yeah he did flame a bit. But he balanced his flaming out with well thought out responses as well.
True, but there is also the Broken Window policy where if criminals are in an city that is cleaner and in better shape than other cities, they're less likely to commit crimes in those areas. It's like when Guiliani prohibited the sale of pornography outside of stores and forced businesses to keep it inside. That small measure alone helped clean up New York. And the same tactic was applied in all sorts of aspects. Tickets for public urination, heftier fines for littering, all these things had a spreading effect. And the more sanitary the city became, more muggings, gang violence, prostitution, etc, started to go down.
That at least has been my understanding of New York's crime problems.
