I'm deffinetly going to get flamed now. But I fucking hope that blizzard doesnt listen to you whiners. This is getting too fucking annoying hearing you emo/goth kids. You guys are ungrateful, you've only seen like opening stages of act 1 and you fucking crying about what you already got. It's just the fucking beginning, chill the fuck out. Not all of the game is going to be bright and shiny, some settings will be dark and eerie just like you want. And there are techniques that you can do with the monitors or ingame settings, which I'm sure blizzard will make possible, to adjust the tone and contrast fo the game. Grow the fuck up!
Actually, I agree with you.
I'm just wondering if you could have squeezed in a few more "fucks."
I already posted a list of the petition and almost all signatures have comments, it would be a really, super natural job to make 1000 signatures / hour with different, distinct, long comments, yes, there's some duplicated signatures but i cant believe that more than 5% of the signatures are false.
I'm somewhat against the petition (did not sign), but I have to agree Ultra here.
diablo 3 will probably go over 1M copies, but 75% of these fans have never participated a community. i have about 10 friends that are fans to the point of willing spend alot of money on one copy (its really expensive here in brazil about 100 bucks.........) but all of them have no ideia about all these discussion forums, and never heard about the petition
we Are the hardcore fanbase, and they can take the petition into consideration, though the fact you can sign in several times may ruin it
didnt it work for SC2 huh?!
$100 USD? That is a little expensive. Hopefully Battle.net 2 (2nd Generation) will still be free.
All everyone wants is a great solid game that will stand the test of time.
This could hurt or help the game. If they have their own direction and then decide due to fans wanting a change, it could delay the game even longer. If they do decide to make some subtle changes that would be cool, but the problem is we are looking at a 20 minute gameplay trailer and making judgements on that, what if the rest of the game is different? what if the setting gets darker and more brooding as the game moves along. I think it is way to quick to pass judgement on the art style this early. Just my opinion.
I agree 100%. Here is what I said earlier in this thread.

I think the petition was jumping the gun a bit. I didn't realize that designing a game was done by committee these days. If that's the case- it will never be done.
I hope Blizzard has the foresight to listen, but then continue down the path that is best for the game (and not for self-appointed committee members).
Because, with the amount of poo-flinging and tantrums from the vocal minority does not make for a better game.
Yes, I said vocal minority.
The game, when released, will become "Game of the Year" with over 1 million units sold. A petition is not going to stop it from achieving this milestone- nor will you not buy it when it is released.
I understand your heart is in the right place, but put down the lit torches and be patient. Blizzard is not going to fail us- all their products go through the progression. Diablo 3 will be no different.
One last thing, be grateful for what is coming- and let your voice be heard for what you also like about the game. I mainly hear the negativity- and it sounds trite & screechy.
I like the first comment. I made me laugh:
"Pointless petitions are a staple of the internet. Sometimes it seems like it's the second biggest use of the internet (behind porn). When you add fanboys into the mix, pointless petitions are inevitable."
The visual that came to mind was the WoW video- "The Internet is for porn"
whelp im still little pissed that you assumed that this is a Petition support thread, it just turned in to it :/ anyways, children don't say fuck :/, and so i would really like it if you don't insult the thread because i looked hard to find all those links to other forums talking about it, and trying to show the supporters how they were doing.
I'm sorry. This is not PolkmFans.com
You have an opinion, as do I. So I will say things that you might not like (and vice versa). But, you can not tell people that they can't voice their thoughts. If you want that power- you need to go create your own web site.
ALRIGHT YOU CAN FUCKING INSULT THE PETITION BUT WHEN YOU INSULT MY THREAD I GET PISSSED!! THIS THREAD WAS STARTED TO SHOW HOW FAR THIS IS GOING NOT TO PROMOTE IT DUMB ASS NOW GOO BACK HOME AND GO THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU SAID!!!
This does not help your cause.
In fact, childish behavior like this can help spur a backlash on your initiative.

BTW... nice to get linked to MTV web site.
That converts to $62 USD
I would imagine the game will be priced about $50-$60 USD when it is released in the US.
So, you guys are going to pay just a little more than we are.

I want my kids to play it some day.

Nope. They just send an email to the address. It does not have to be yours.
But, the petition is still recorded.

You think they don't know about it already? Really?
I don't think you give them enough credit then.

Step away from the computer- and take a break.
Hard to do if he only voices one-side of the discussion.
