No one argued about green lamps, take your antisemantic pills.
Consistency is "shitty"? "brainless", wich actually relates to how dumb of a statement you made instead of "dickless" wich is just a lame attempt at trolling.
LOL, then why the fuck are you counter arguing when other people DO argue it was ment to look a certain way. Dumbidum you're dumb.
Do you hear that peeps? I'm a "kid" because i tell a gamejournalist to stay fucking objective, while i do allow myself to have an opinion. MAEKS SENCE!
Yea, better not expect a pilot to have the capabiliities to fly a plane. You're an idiot you know.
OOOH, I'M MAD, MAD I TELL YA! Blizzard telling me i don't know shit about what's right for Diablo MAKES ME MAD! Two problems tough. First one, i wasn't critisizing Blizzard, for once, wich makes you look stupid. Second one, it doesn't make Blizzard any better at making Diablo 3. Wich makes you look naive.
Ofcourse it did, the perfect strategy of anal people like you to turn every sensible thought into a retarded semantic.
No one even talked semantics. Take your pills.
Hear that GREEN JUNKIES, it turns out that they actually confirmed Blizz North to have had a art direction that was actually consistent with the Diablo franchise and Blizz changed it afterwards.
Because it made for a shitty game, dickless.
Don't give me that home alone face, people with SENSE already pointed that out a quadrillion times before. So all you whiners (yea i'm calling the people whining about people complaining about the UNORIGINAL current game design whiners) arguing that "this is what D(3) was ment to look like" can go choke on a certain name now.
Not one person arguing on the side of Blizzards current art direction said that Diablo was "meant" to look a certain way. Not one. You're arguing with yourself.
I'm still trying to tell you the fact this is not what Diablo looks like, but all the bias you ejaculate squirted right into your eyes, up your nose and into your brain.
This coming from a kid who can't shake his preconceptions of what a Diablo game is enough to appreciate a fresh artistic style that keeps the game from being a pile of shit both in look and gameplay.
If you still can't get over it then you should seek medical/mental help as soon as possible to try and clear up all that clutter obstructing you from making objective statements.
Because your statements above were oh so objective.
Don't hold people to standards that you yourself can't possibly muster.
You must be mad that Blizzard told you that you and the other signers don't know shit about what's right for Diablo. I'm glad it hurts. But no need to take it out on someone making good points about why you guys were wrong in the first place.
Should: "You use should when you are saying what would be the right thing to do or the right state for something to be in." from a dictionary.
I dont think i used the wrong word in my posts.
He didn't say you used the wrong word. He said that your argument based on "shoulds" was pointless, as it was based upon your personal preferences. I think the fact that you even brought the dictionary into this and still think you have the right to say "should" over and over shows a huge learning curve on you that makes you impossible to reason with. It's things like this that cause me to give up on your inane posts.
In fact, most of this thread has turned into people with an education in art or film arguing basic art theories and facts against people who are merely arguing their opinions and personal tastes.
No wonder it is getting nowhere.
And don't tell me art is subjective and blah blah blah. There is reasoning behind artists do what they do in their medium and they understand the effect it will have on the viewer. There are facts about art that have been stated here and ignored by people who want to cling to their points.
If Diablo isn't allowed to do more with lighting than it was in previous games then the world of Diablo would not be able to expand from an artistic standpoint. Hence, D3 would not be as fresh and evolved as it's predecessors and people would find it monogamous and they would complain about it. End of story.
What does it have to do with the caves picture you posted?
Part of your arugment has been based on what you consider, or call "realism". I gave you a real life green cave. Fin.
The caves: green colored mineral with neutral (white) lighting.
DIII: gray-colored surface lit by nonexistent green lighting...
Quit making up terms. That cave isn't "neutral" lighting. It has green in it and that is reflected and makes the lighting green. Perhaps there is some gaseous corruption in the dungeon causing eerie green light or a "Mineral" (hehe) in the stone of the dungeon causing green light to reflect around. But the over all point is that what you are complaining about is not enough to distract most normal human beings from the game hence it does not need changing. The lighting works from a design standpoint.
What does that have to do with what Blizzard said, or improving graphics, or whatever? Are you even seeing what you quoting? Or just replying randomly?
I was replying to what Exghoul posted above about the game getting darker as they go.
What does that have to do with that quote? In any case, they way you are talking, DIII should stay exactly the way it is, which it definitely would not...
No. I'm saying that the Art Direction should remain the same, not the pre-alpha graphics.
The cave minerals are fucking green. That's their color. The gameplay video bricks are NOT green they are originally gray-white. That's the problem...
You just lost so many IQ points for saying that.
Yeah, I wondered about it and Blizz confirmed it: The game will be getting darker as you play through and the petition will be thrown on to the level of a bad fart joke, even for the people who signed it.
They will improve the graphics. What a revelation.
Yeah that makes soo much sense, i cant believe how you figured this problem !!!
I said like 92347 times that they may keep the green dungeon if they add the source of the light (and make it actually look like light).
And i also said again and again that there may be happy looking colorful places as long as corrupted places arent too brightly colored and this is what you say:
When in the hells did i say that??? Just quote a recent post of me saying that and ill shut up.
(Unfortunately such a post doesnt exist so you have no other chance than accepting that you were WRONG !!!MWAHAHAHAHAHA!!! )
(Sorry for colorful post.)
You're too into D2 to judge rationally. Your green lanterns remark is asinine because no one gives a shit if you can see green lanterns or not. The level works WITHOUT green lanterns from a game design standpoint, so in the end you are merely arguing a personal preference with no explanation to back it up other than "it's more realistic..." even though it's been argued that it is not necessarily more realistic.
What's funny to me is you want me to say I'm wrong about,...something...when you've been wrong on color usage, types of lighting and the mood it creates and you've been arguing that your personal tastes are more "diablo" than BLIZZARD'S...strange huh? Well how am I supposed to concede to your personal tastes...am I supposed to say "You're right. You know what's best for Diablo's lighting in one of the dungeons..."?
HA!
Alright Kenzai,...your arguments consist of telling me I'm ridiculous and that I don't understand my own language. Oh, and they also consist of how a game should imitate it's predecessors to the point where certain color schemes are NOT allowed.
If there wont be green lamps, just use one of these options:
- The best option is to light up the place with regular lamps and torches and add a cold, corrupt fog to prevent the comfortable feel. The place wont be dark but the fog will cover the warmness of the light.
There already is a fog. It's the blueish part of the dungeon that all those people are complaining about...
Creepsville,
1st: Cant see the green. Just something like ice or snow on the ground and walls which is a little light blue.
2: Thats not a dungeon, and i can see some green fog.
3: Its a cave not dungeon, and has lotsa moos.
4: Outsides. Theres just grass on the floor.
5: Im talking about dungeons.
You said show games so I showed games. And you said it had to be realistic so I showed a cave with greenish light. What else could you possibly ask for? When light bounces off things, or there is rot in the air, and the light is low, it changes all kinds of colors depending on the situation.
All of those where actually pretty irrevelant. And the graphics of FF XII look pretty MMOish and crappy.
Awwww. You're trying soooo hardddd. You never said anything abour graphics quality. You said games with green color schemes like the one in the D3 video.
Edit: Watched the trailer again, and the color kinda fits that place,

I know that the people who signed the petition are going to see more of the game soon and they are going to realize that they jumped the gun.
Stop obsessing over me for a minute and get back on topic.
Awwww. He couldn't ignore me after all. *Tear. He even timed me on my response. Must be love. *Double Tear
Ewww. Someone needs a nap.

How's this for a green dungeon!
Where's the light source coming from?!?! Where the fuck is it?!?!? I can't play.
This game makes no sense!! It's not realllll!!!
Hahahahaha.

Green light appears to come from nowhere in the cave I posted. Hows that for realism?
Use your imagination. Hehe

You're losing ground here.
