It's a bad idea in general, there's nothing appealing in pvp in d3.
D3 is just not meant to be a PvP game.
They would have to implement way too much stuff (matchmaking, balancing etc. etc.).
And I doubt there's a huge request for pvp, so it wouldn't be smart.
You could just play WoW (very similiar when it comes to classes DH-Hunter, Monk-Monk, Barb-Warrior, WD-Warlock etc.).
I just don't see any point in implementing PvP in D3. I'd rather have more PvE content.
There is everything appealing in d3 pvp to me, but your opinion is yours even if a minority,
d3 is meant to be an arpg, and an arpg with no pvp is simply incomplete,
Balancing is not needed as i said before, matchmaking and the arenas ARE ALREADY DONE, they simply did not implement them,
7 out of 10 of my friends bought d3 for the advertised pvp, they would all return to the game so y, most pvp ppl are not as vocal on forums as the pve ppl but they exist.
i played wow for almost 8 years and i quitted as soon as d3 came out and i've been playing since,
they are different games with different controls and camera angles so it's ridiculous to compare them.
And the main point in adding pvp is because it has a huge demand (again loads of ppl quit the game because the advertised pvp never came)
blizzard is smart and they know how much money they can make if they annouce pvp in diablo's next expansion.
Another point that you miss is that adding pvp into the game (since most of it is already done) wouldn't hurt the pve content, because let's face it we have been recieving features and sets but no real new content for pve since grifts, the cube, removal of trials, revamped sets etc. are not new content or more things to do, they are simply something to complement the already existing pve content...
They should just release the arenas they have made and are done already and create/add a huge zone like fields of misery huge or even more where ppl can bash each other at will with some sort of objective, like a boss for each side, kinda like old school Alterac Valley, but with more mobs to kill and packs, because let's face it, after 1h of killing your friends with no objectives it becomes kinda boring...
For the arenas, 3v3 is the only thing that would work tbh and the first team with X kills would win, no balance required, just use the same dmg reductions we have in the brawling area or even a bit more since the cube is comming.
Most ppl that say d3 pvp is too imbalanced have never really tried gearing a character for it, they go try pvp with their normal gear, get rekt and procede to whine on the forums on how broken pvp is... going full tank with defensive gems and you can never be one shotted, not to mention that there are alot of games out there where pvp is fun and u get one shotted sometimes.
