the simulation is saying 151b sustain single target damage against a boss, at 800 Paragon, which seems pretty decent IMO. The gear is far from optimised too, I'm not really sure what I'm doing so I just stuck whatever seemed best on there :p.
Has anyone done any real testing, to compare the now fixed Shenlong to the old Overpowered as frak Shenlong? I've heard mixed things, some saying it's almost as strong as it was when it was introduced, some saying it's almost as weak as it was when bugged.
Of course, it's 100% to ALL damage. The big question is does the 2% per spirit on generators effect Fist of Fury DoT, as technically it's part of your generator.
I think the best way to test would be Windforce Flurry. If the long distance frost blast thing is increased by the 2% spirit buff then, FoF's DoT should be as well.
I was thinking of going for a holy damage build, with WoHF: Fists of Fury and the healing rune on Cyclone.
D3planner shows it pulling about 100b sustained dps, crits into the trillions, but I think it's actually a bit higher, because I've not been able to get it to use Cyclone Strike properly :p.
wish they would hury up and fix the weps wana test gen build out see how it plays out with the nerf to the wep's
Your wish is Blizzard's command :p.
"Fixed an issue where Shenlong's Spirit was doing much less damage than intended (7/28)"
The bug is fixed! The weapons should (hopefully) now be doing the intended damage, anyone got them on the PTR and is able to assess the full impact of the nerf now?
Thank you for reporting this. We are working on a fix that should bring the damage bonus to Spirit Generators from Shenlong's Spirit to its correct value.
from a blue
Awesome! I thought this nerf seemed a LITTLE over the top from the numbers reported, but part of me, deep down, was thinking "Blizzard never let me have any fun, I bet this is just an undocumented change!"
Good to know it IS a bug and they ARE working on it.
On a semi related subject, has anyone tested to see if after the patch RCR and Life per Spirit are still applied to the spirit drain from the proc?
That seems... Strange. Make sure you still have all your Cube stuff active, then pray that the proc nerf went ahead but the passive buff didn't, because a drop of ~75% seems WAY too severe, considering the changes that were implemented.
does the hunter's wrath work with generator build with the monk? it should lol it says primaries
I asked the same thing :P. Apparently it doesn't though, it's still DH only. The text was changed to indicate that it's not meant to work with Kridershot/Elemental Arrow.

Sorry EU here. Also I tend to play at very bizarre times :p.
Yay for math! *highfive*
Has anyone actually tried them in game yet :p?
Sure man, this is the basic build.

@Gromral, is that still people who were using the Grift bug for easy rifts?
Also, not sure if I'm doing something wrong, but on d3planner the Holy build looks to be outdpsing the Fire build by quite a distance.

Yup, Fists of Fury + Bane of the Stricken is the infinite stacking tower of pain

But not a programmer for Blizz :p?
Haha indeed... I'm sure it's not as simple as just finding a 1 in the code and changing it to a 2... But I'm also sure it's not MUCH harder than that.
I mean they managed to get the nerf right first time, not sure why the buff was so tricky

Has anyone ACTUALLY tested it, run the numbers etc? Or is this based off what people are "Seeing"
If people have run the numbers and they damage isn't adding up correctly report it to blizz and get the set fixed before it goes live.
