lol at first i didnt even noticed the new lore whas attached to the ubers and all that
It really isn't. DClone and The Pandemonium Event will with guaranteed certanity not be part of the official lore whenever a sequel comes out. The story on Arreat Summit is just explaining why they are in D2. Or so I hope

allllrriiighhttt dragon, thought this out just a LITTLE too much...haha just playing, i heard this when i was killin the ubers in D2 from a guy that killed ubers like every day
Killing Ubers does not require you to know anything about lore, only that you have knowledge of game mechanics and how to use them.

Not really, Lilith only looks like Andariel because Blizzard didn't make a new model for her, and that is according to Richard A. Knaak.
She doesn't have the "tentacles" (or whatever they) are sticking out of her back, her hooves resemble those of a cow rather than a horse (I believe), her hands only have four claws isntead of actual fingers, and she has a multitude of quills all over her back, as well as a tail.

Let's just calm down here.
First, a hack&slach can probably still sell. As stated, there are diablo clones out there, and they're selling, so D3 should thus also have a market.
Second, D3 will not be an MMO if it is released within WoW's timeframe. Profit is not a simple equation of Pay to play=more money. It doesn't work that simply. If Blizzard was to release a second MMO, they would be competing with themselves, as many WoW players are also Diablo fans, and very few people play two MMO's at the same time.
Furthermore, new customers will most definately not play two at the same time, so they would just be split between the two titles instead of flocking only to WoW.
Now, my explanation is also simplified, but it shows a better picture of the situation.

That's what I'm saying. It most likely will not be the same concept in D3 as it was earlier, not to the same extent as in between D1 and D2.
I'm not saying that's a bad thing, just that it might not turn out as D2 with better graphics.

Personally, I honestly think WoW may be the best game I've ever played. Not because of graphics, or gameplay, or story, or items, or anything else, but because of the total sum that you get out of all of it.
And because I haven't played it for 6 months but still find myself wanting to play it.
Will D3 be D2 with better graphics? maybe, but nothing is certain. Considering the big leap in time we have here, plus many leaving Blizzard, the chances of taht happening are slim.

From what I heard fourth quarter 2007 - first quarter 2008. So still a long time. But I really want to play it. So far the only problem I see is that all monsters look too cute no matter what you do.
However, I will still try to make a Diablo-race

Yes, but I see a trend in games, one I think is very good. Games are more and more focusing on player interaction, and PvP is one step.
The only notable exception I can think of is Spore, which is not going to have any multiplayer.

1) An intense story. maybe even a 2 tier game one from the role as a good hero the other from the evil side.
Already been suggested, and most people want to see it.
2) Obviously I'd prefer a M rated game. Allthough with todays games Im not to sure if violence and gore will get a M rating. Since its based in a fantasy world I don't see diologe with F bombs a flying.
Also what many people want, but I would not want that much blood. In my opinion that isn;t necessary to make a great game.
3) The Hack and slash of the old Diablo's was fun but as a more Mature gamer now I'd like to see a more involved RPG along the Lines of The Elder Scroll's series but still keep the Diablo feel in the enviroments, Monsters and items and everything the game is known for.
For this you will be shot, tortured, decapitated and your remains thrown to the dogs. Hack&Slash is what Diablo is famous for. And besides, there are no other hack&slash games out there anymore, so theoretically Diablo has that whole market.
But, if Blizzard manages to make a good Diablo without hack&slash, I will still play it. I just don't think that will happen.
4) A large and expansive game world.
Yes, we all want that.
5) I'd also love to see modabilty with built in user friendly tools. Like a diablo COnstrution set. (this though isnt a big requirment for me just would be cool to play Mods from all the twisted imaginations of the diablo fans)
6) as far as multiplayer I rarely played Diablo online. I was into EQ so I am a big MMOer, but given that I enjoyed my few hours of diablo Multiplayer/ So coop and straight pvp in the game world would be a blast.
Personally i think most games are heading towards more multiplayer interaction in the gaming world, so this will most likely happen.
7) Evil, it has to be evil. I want it to be so evil and haunting that it'll send chills down my spine.
Possible, but I don't know. There's been some discussion here about it.
8) Amazing music and total emersion with sound effects and Graphics. (course, I'd not want a system hog but maybe U can't have both. So, I may wanna plan for my next upgrade of my upgrade that I am doing soon hehe)
So long as it doesn't take steam off the content, it will most likely come also.

Another job that indicates unannounced projects, but no confirmation. If it had said however:
Required talents:Excessive knowledge of Diablo and of animating evil demons and angels with tentacles

Anyway yes, when that is released we can start to expect something else coming from Blizzard (information-wise).
And seriously, what would stop any repoter from relaying legit D3 info?
