You know what is also annoying? you forget you're pressing the alt key after a while and want to see/remove the map... what do you get? Alt+Tab... GREAT!, there goes the loot...
lol. I've had that a few times too. But my thumb usually just rests on the alt key to press when I need to, and my other fingers do the potion-drinking
I played Diablo 2 LoD with a friend (multiplayer on TCP/IP) and when I hit the win key I'm like "oh shit! cover my ass! cover my ASS!", cos usually when I get back in the game, about three or four seconds pass during which, usually, I get slaughtered Not to mention the laaaaaaaag. For two or three seconds my character runs at the speed of light.
It may have been seven years, but SC fans waited a bit longer still for an announcement for a sequel.
I doubt whether it's a smart move to make D3 a MMORPG. Regardless of WoW's success or the claim that many WoW fans would 'move' to Diablo. From what I've seen on this site, there's a whole host of D3 fans who don't seem to be as faithul WoW followers as they are D3. Plus, WoW fans won't just leave WoW altogether and join the Diablo MMORPG community. My opinion anyway.
I kinda get the feeling you're trying to say that the whole MMORPG thing is killing the single-player appeal? My opinion is that a single-player D3 (with the multiplayer option D2 had) won't see a 'decrease' in popularity, just because the market is supposedly moving towards a MMORPG flavor.
That's mainly because most enemies gain lower drain efficiencies, and some even cannot be drained at at.
They do, but the Druid in werewolf form can steal a lot of life. The life steal happens, this much I know, but the damage they deal (non-physical) is baaad.
Speaking of which, the 1,2,3 and 4 keys on my keyboard have suffered great punishment. Only gets better when you steal enough life with each blow. But in Hell, the elemental damages of cold and lightning pretty much nullify the gain in health. Sheesh
I got about three complete Sigon sets during my adventures. And generally I get items from four or five different sets, the rest of the sets' items just don't seem to drop.
I think the reason I go back every time is for the items. That surprise element gets me every time. As for the slaying of thousands upon thousands of enemies...well, when your character does enough damage and your attack speed is greatly enhanced, sometimes it's fun to effortlessly mow through hordes of enemies. But generally my alt key (display all items on ground) seems to work overtime.
Yeah, just because everyone's playing a certain game doesn't mean the game is terribly good, or the best. I would like to see some improvements or additions made to the gameplay of D2 as will be featured in D3. I suppose it comes down to the pure 'addiction factor' D2 seems to have. Regardless what was lacking.
Erm, I'm hoping you don't mean that some of us play Diablo because so many others do and we feel the need to 'follow' :/
I think simple logic teaches us that the mass fanbase ('major cult') of Diablo might be attributed to the game's appeal, rather than anything else. The 'minor cult' can pretty much be ascribed to a game's lack of appeal. I'm neither dissing nor glamorizing any game.
Your opinion regarding Nox being better than Diablo is respected, but goodness me, the 'hype' theory is somewhat inaccurate. If indeed you are implying what I think you are implying.
I think those who choose to continue this flame war are really just terribly immature and bored. You all need to stfu. I think you've lost track of who you're flaming and why.
I've seen a few people mention they're gonna buy SC1 to 'refresh' their memories...makes me wonder how many worldwide sales SC1 will see in the coming weeks
As for me, I use to play SC1 at LAN's, and got my ass *whipped*. Played the campaigns at home and well, not totally my cuppa tea. But I'll probably buy SC2, to have a look at what Blizzard's been doing all this time, besides doing WoW
Lol that's just you being stupid

I still need to get that demo of SC2. But I suppose Blizzard will probably release another more expansive demo in future?
