This owuldnt have happened if they did not purchase that name from the domain to do this so its proven that it is starcraft 2;) haha i cracked the code on that one
Yep, major accomplishment if it hadn't already been mentiond about 5000 times in the last week

A Starcraft: Ghost box with nothing but the actual title on the front? When was the last time you saw such a box cover from Blizzard?
Thus I do not believe that this has been done in cooperation with Blizzard at all, merely guesswork.

Starcraft also has 3 lines, they just dont appear as bright as the others. I dont believe there's a system for it. Its just there to replace a simple countdown and keep crazy fans like ourselves busy.

Obviously Starcraft is the next game, since it only has 2 lines.
But if take the question mark into the calculation, we get something else.
Question Mark: 8 lines
And 2(SC)+3(WC)+3(D)=8
So the next game must really be Galaxy of Diablocraft!!!11oneone!
Seriously though, Blizzard puts up one picture and the ideas start flying like space rockets. I doubt there is a system, and even if there is, we will all find out next weekend anyway.

my guess would be that each day they'll swap to another title. Both Warcraft and Warcraft 2 were the oldest if u notice. there are 3 more pairs before the announcement. Would make sense to either swap to one after the other each day or go to the next pair every 2 days.
*edit*
5 more titles i mean (counted in the Warcraft 3 expansion thats not listed).
Hmm. We'll have to see, you may be right. And it would make sense.

Interesting. Why do they just show the Warcraft images though? I tried clicking on the other titles, but then it just brings me to the real homepage. Hm...

Yeah. But I think it's about time for a new big RTS. Haven't played a new good RTS in a while.
Supreme Commander would be a good bet too, I would try it but I fear that I would be horrible at it, it seems to be out of my league. Though I don't know for sure.
But regarding the arguments, almost everything has been presented, and I can't think of anything new to add. Too bad I will be gone next weekend, that means I'll miss all of the initial burst of discussion following the announcement

I've copied and pasted this from Penny arcade he argues for a Starcraft MMO rather than a Starcraft RTS, but notice how he like many other people from the planet earth have used the power of reason that it will be Starcraft related, be it MMO or RTS It will be a huge kick in the balls if it is a MMO game and not RTS.
Those are some good points, and if anything is pressuring Blizzard to continuously shoot out MMO's, it's Vivendi.
Now, he brings up two reasons why it would be a SC MMO.
Reason 1: Creating an MMO shifts the underlying structure and philpsophy of a company, making it less likely for them to leave the MMO genre.
Reason 2: WoW will die, and Blizzard wants to keep their subscribers to give them money, and they would do that through a new MMO.
The second reason holds very true, but not in the present. Contrary to what you might believe from reading the WoW-forums, WoW isn't dying, far from it. It has years to go still, and Blizzard will want to continue to gain alot of money out of it for as small a cost as possible.
If they were to intorduce a new SC MMO on the market, and the could keep WoW players leaving the ship, they could still lose money on the deal. If a player closes one account and opens a new one Blizzard will get the same amount of money, while they will have to host two MMO's. Not to mention the structural difficulties of running two MMO's at the same time.
Of course there's no doubt that a SC MMO would attract different and new people, but I wonder to what extent.
Reason 1 seems much more credible, if it is true. If anyone could add what they know regarding this point I'd appreciate it.

You rarely tell friends and/or family that you plan to come visit them in the future, but cannot at present.... And already have a trip planned next month. (This is the concept all you Starcraft people say exists which is just senceless.)
First, I don't consider Blizzard to be a friend of mine or part of my family, and neither do I think they do.
Secondly, if I come and visit my family, that means I will stay with them and they have to account for that. They have to accomodate for my living and plan ahead.
In the example Blizzard is the relative coming to visit, and the customer is the family. But that's not how it goes, it goes the other way. Blizzard has the responsibility here to develop the product and hold timelines etc. but the customer has no such obligations. We either buy it or we don't, and Blizzard doesn't have anything to say in that situation.

How the hell do you concoct that from what they said? Thirty days time is nothing in the gaming industry, they would say they don't plan to announce anything to do with SC2 but would magically announce it a month later?
Companies rarely say they aren't creating a product then just say SUPRISE! it's not professional, it's not smart.
First of all, it's not going to be surprise in that sense, because a lot of people are expecting SC2.
Second, it's much more unprofessional to give away the surprise just two weeks prior to the announcement.
It's mother fucking Warcraft, people are asking for a new expansion of WoW. WoW is just growing and growing, there's no reason to stop giving the customers what they want. It is going to be WoW related and that's fucking final! WoW's ride is hardly over.
Blizzard would not have such a fuzz aobut a new expansion, especially not so soon after the first one came out.

Blizzards goal with WoW is to make as much money as they can before it dies. Ultima and Everquest, both successful MMO's during their times but not at all on par with WoW's popularity, are still going, and so WoW probably has several years of life expectancy left. Blizzard will not want to lose gamers to other games during this period, especially not to their own franchises.
Thus they will not release a new MMO while WoW is still going strong, for the sole reason that few people have the time to invest in two MMO's, much less the will to pay for two monthly fees.
Would a D3 take players from WoW though? Not in any substantial amount, so long as D3 isn't an MMO. If people aren't required to pay a regular fee for D3, they can buy it and then play it whenever they want, thus they can mix and match with WoW simultaneously.
Secondly, people that would play D3 so much that they wouldn't have time for WoW are a small minority and wouldn't affect Blizzard's current subscribers to any large extent.
Besides, there is no place for logic here.
That is complete nonsense. Logic always applies to all situations.

Though i may (alright, am) stating the obvious, people shouldn't get disappointed if SC2 is announced in Korea and not D3 as Blizzard has clearly pointed out that they have more than one project going on unrelated to WoW (*sigh of relief). There is plenty of hope for D3 if it is not announced in May. My top post shows that D3 is definitely(DEFINITELY) not dead.
That's right, most of the argument here is what game will be announced in Korea, not which game they're working on. It's possible for them to work on both D3 and SC2, but it is unlikely that both will be announced on May, and as such people are split as to whether it is D3 or SC2. Personally I just want to know right now.
