Frankly as a lot of other people have said in this thread, gaming headsets are a waste of money. They break easily, have bad sound quality and a bad microphone. They are like Dr Dre Beats in the way that you pay for the brand and thats about it. Personally I use Audio Technica ATH-M50's and they are amazing. They are relatively cheap ~100 on ebay from a reputable reseller. They blow most gamer headsets out of the water in terms of quality in sound/microphone/build quality. They are a bit heavier so after prolonged periods of wear your head might get a bit sore. These headphones are also great for movies, other games and music. The really expensive headphones that other people have linked are overkill for anything but actual studio work (they also require soundcards and dacs). The Zalman ZM-Mic 1 or w.e it is, is also a great mic for the price. Another thing with the M50's is you can replace the ear cups for $20, you shouldn't have too until a year or two after you bought the headphones. I've owned mine since January 2011 and have used them constantly for about 5-14hours a day since I got them and the ear cups are just starting to crack a bit. Also stay away from Tritton, I owned a pair of AX180s and they broke within 2months of light usage and then the replacements broke within a month after recieving them.
I wouldn't trust Futureshop at all. They are pretty notorious for overselling the stock they are going to get. I just got one of the last 4 CE's they had in stock at Amazon.com (interesting that they are allowing it to be shipped to Canada at a higher price). Amazon.ca still has no word on if they are getting any copies of the CE. Frankly your best bet would be to order from Futureshop and wait for Amazon.com or Amazon.ca to recieve more and try to snag one from them. Then cancel your futureshop order.
2 more years my ass...definitely a 2010 release at the latest
Not even close. Blizzard has announced 2 releases next year. Blizzard has also said, those 2 releases are SC2 in Q1-Q2 and WoW Cataclysm in Q3-Q4. This was said at blizzcon 09. D3 is at least a 2011 release date. There hasn't been a beta yet. SC2 isn't even in beta yet and those keys were released at last years blizzcon. At this rate we could even see a 2012 release date on D3. Thought highly doubtful of that anything is possible with blizzard. However D3 isn't possible in a 2009 release.
I don't pure game. I do lots of 3d design. The fact of the matter is also I really only have 2gb I am just borrowing 2gb extra to do some testing. So technically speaking I still have 2 slots left open for DDR2, while my DDR3 slots just collect dust and rot :).
About the next gen cards. That will just run my wallet for more money. New gen will need more Power which means new PSU. When the new gen come out it will probably be time to get Windows 7 which is a huge chunk of cash. Not to mention the new gen will be hugely expensive probably.
If you want a great deal. On newegg thers a 950W psu for 100$ :D. Nah you don't need that much but I'd say upgrade to 500-600W. I know they hype the system requirements up but I wouldn't take a chance with that big of a jump.
Misread the graphics card information. Duh it said system minimum requirements not graphics card. I meet the power supply standards by lots. I'm also planning to get 4 x 2gb DDR2 1066 modules for my mobo. I will replace the 4gbs I have right now(2gb isn't even mine lol :D).
1 question I don't know if this will be worth it or not or even if it will work. If I had 8gb of DDR2 1066 and 4gb of DDR3 1333 would it be worth it?. My Motherboard is a Asus P5KC and holds 12gb maximum and has 6 ram slots (4 DDR2 1066 max and 2 DDR3 1333 max).
I have also checked if my PSU handles this and yes. Even with 50% aging and 100% peak load I still have 100W to spare
The reason SC2 is delayed by a few months is because Battle.net 2.0 is not ready for SC2. Therefore Diablo 3 will not make it out this year and it will be 2011.
Reason for 2011.
Battle.net 2.0 isn't ready for this year.
SC2 is delayed because of Battle.net and D3 will use Battle.net2.0
SC2 and WoW Cataclysm are only 2 titles being released in 2010.
I highly doubt Blizzard would release 3 blockbusters in 1year
It's not only just gaming. It's for 3d game design and the sorts. Also when the new generation of video cards come out then I'm spending money on a new PSU and a graphics card that costs 4x as much as a 275 lol.
What is your monitor? If you're gaming below 2560x1600 (30" monitor) you won't notice a difference from the extra memory.
I'm running a 21" LG and a 24" LG
Paladin88 I am running a 8800GT 512 SC atm.
Also found out from other folks that I will need a new PSU. So should I go for a 750 or a 800. I plan to buy more ram eventually don't know how much though.
Has 1792mb of vram for 50$ more. On the specifications it says Open GL 3.0 does that mean the card will only run with Open GL 3.0?
And another thing. Power. It says it requires 550W PSU minimum. I want to know if my psu will be able handle the card with my other parts
My specs are.
Intel Q6600 Quad core 2.4ghz not oc
Asus P5KC motherboard
2GB Ram DDR2 (forget the speeds)
No soundcard
WD 1.5TB HDD 7200rpm (eco friendly ones)
WD 500GB HDD 7200RPM (Not in use atm Will be once I get W7)
Antec 600 or 650 PSU (Forget which one it is)(In this case will it run with the 600W :S)
Jay Wilson confirmed that the next character is a character from one of the previous Diablos.
I don't recall hearing that. From what I remember the Barb is the only returning class in D3.
I agree with your logic that the last class will not be a 100% ranged type of character. But as stated many times I think he/she will have a balance between the both. Being able to use some sort of ranged weaponry or ranged skills and having a good melee attack or good melee skills.
I also like the bard idea. I think Blizzard could pull of something like that. As to if its the next class or not we will have to wait and see.

For example. 600W 79$. Of course this is just an idea of what pricing for PSU are now days.

One thing I want to know is. What is on the list for China? It sounds really strict.
Jay gets my vote for father of the year
Yes my card is a EVGA
