DHs are hard. 100% crit from SS, insane atk speed, tentacles... shoot like 12 of them before the first one hits, and they all receive 100% crit chance, plus they hit targets 2-3 times depending on its size.... wonder if QA even tested the game at all? DHs can put out millions of damage in seconds. broken OP class is broken.
Yes I'm a crying 2h barb, smashing my face in early A3. Barb is shelved until 1.03, lvling wiz alt.
Barbs are fine guys, you just need 100 million worth of gear to do what a DH does with 5 million, working as intended.
During the beta I never saw more than around 3 KB/s up/down. usually averaged around 1 KB/s. You could have a LAN with your house completely packed on 25 MBPS internet and would be fine.
Has anyone been able to play the beta with a Macbook on the highest settings with a good frame rate (40-60fps)? If so which model/specs are you using?
Also, not looking for a MAC vs PC thread or laptop vs desktop.
None of them. Apple graphics drivers are inferior (fact) and you be paying double the money for half the effect; the same hardware wrapped in a pretty plastic wrapper with a false sense of security based not on the actual security of your OS but rather on the fact that your party is so small nobody wants to crash it.
I'm a programmer, hardware technician, and certified return-to-manufacture authorized repairman for Apple products. When your computer needs it's OS re-installed and you've lost the disk? Too bad. Your computer can only have version x y z cat dog turd of (essentially) the same OS and it isn't available anymore. Hard drive fails? Thanks for the %80 overhead profit on repair. Etc, etc. Apple is very literally a scam to get you to buy the same thing but for more money.
Deal with it. Macs are a bad investment designed to target people too lazy/inferior to do proper product research.
You can save some money by using DDR3/1600 instead. Fast RAM mostly benefits integrated graphics, which you're not using.
A quality 500 watt PSU would be enough.
An H77 motherboard is cheaper.
The combined savings from the above would allow you to get a GTX 680, which will outperform the 670 in all games even if the CPU is overlocked.
With a single 1080p screen, you'll have no problems with Diablo 3 at max quality with either of these approaches. Other games give better results with a 680 and a stock-clocked CPU.
Strongly agree that you should consider an Intel build, but seeing as you already have the mobo for am3+, just get the six core, gtx550ti and enjoy 60fps with vsync all day no problem. This game uses 2 threads, extra cores wont help here, extra mhz will. However, nearly any stock cpu is capable of giving you a steady 60fps with vsync in Diablo 3, but I can't say the same for other games.
I must just be far pickier than the average joe. If you sit around 4 feet from your screen I can see the benefit, but I really think 27" screen should be 2560x1440 res. If you don't notice the difference, that's cool, enjoy your screen how you like it.
IMO, 24" in the absolute max for a screen res of 1920x1080. All 27" screens with that res look like total crap, and it's why you can buy them for like $275. If you want bigger, do it properly and spend the money for a screen with 2560x1440, but don't bother if you don't have the graphics power to push that res.
