So they want to add support to a class. Big deal? If you're not already aware the Barbarian has retained his combat shouts from Diablo 2, such as battle cry which increases the defense of the party.
They never said how the auras would work, or how instrumental they would be in a particular class design.
Every class will have some sort of support. If it's not auras and battle shouts, it's buffs, debuffs, or area of effect support like a wizard's slow time ability.
Blizzard does collector editions right. I fully expect D3s CE to come with an art book, music cd, and a few other additions like a cloth map of sanctuary, or mouse pad. A bonus in game item would be cool too. Nothing that affects gameplay unfairly, but something cosmetic... like a subtle aura or something that let's people know I'm a CE owner.
I don't know how people can hate on game companies. It doesn't even make sense. When is the last time you didn't buy a movie because you don't want to support a specific production studio like Universal Pictures or Sony Entertainment? Probably never. You didn't buy a movie because you didn't enjoy the movie, or the trailer/preview didn't interest you. It had nothing to do with the studio.
EA publishes the game. They had very little to do with it's development process. If you like Bioware, and their games, then buy this one. You won't be disappointed.
EA is a giant company. They don't need your money from one Dragon Age Origins game. They can sustain their entire company on sports titles alone, which have very little overhead (because they recycle assets just about every year) and huge profit (sports games are big, especially when EA has exclusive rights to NFL and FIFA licensing).
Not buying this game to "one up EA" isn't going to do anything. They don't know who you are, and they aren't going to miss your $60. They don't care. Your hard earned money is a meager .0001% of their stockholder share.
Bioware does care. They are passionate about the games they make and they want their fans to love their games. If you were even slightly intrigued by Dragon Age Origins, buy the game and have fun with it.
Changing winds here:
A comic from the Penny Arcade guys about Dragon Age Origins. It shows a side of the game I've not yet seen in any trailer or promotional footage.
They said they wanted to bring the storyline to a close. They didn't mention if that meant the prime evils were going to die, or even lose the fight. What if Diablo 3 ends with the prime evils being victorious. Think of Diablo 2 and how much of that game was spent chasing Diablo's host across the world. I mean at the end going into the expansion we defeated Diablo, but what if we didn't? What would that leave open for subsequent expansions?
Basically, we have no idea what's going to happen.
From when we start Diablo 3 to when we finish and wait impatiently for the first expansion to hit (hopefully there will be more than one), anything can happen.
As the Diablo storyline has proven so far, in the end the good guys actually don't win. They win a battle, but the war continues. The Prime Evils are still around today. The heroes die or become corrupted.

Next-gen MMO is in fact their unannounced next-gen MMO. For WoW job postings, they simply have the tag World of Warcraft. Cataclysm is anything but a next-gen mmo. It's still Warcraft, it's still very much last generation.
There's another posting I saw on there that raised an eyebrow or six.
It's not labeled as next-gen mmo, or WoW, or Starcraft, or D3.
Oh the implications are staggering! Yet another game in development over at Blizzard! What could it be! Warcraft 4? Blackthorne 2? Rock N Roll Racing: The Revival!!?? Only Blizzard knows.
Production artist would imply that this particular game is still very early in development: conceptual stage early.

Relax.
I was on the fence about the game, but now I'll probably pick it up on Steam along with my L4D2 preorder.

But I was talked into seeing this one.
Blair Witch Project. Worst. Movie. Ever.
I approve of this message.

Does this mean this is something they will be doing with D3, you think?
Hot.

These days there are so many more reasons to get an xbox 360.
