I find the blog post frustrating in general; what are the icons pictured in the blog? I'm just suppose to know what they are?

There are good ideas to take from WoW, but they can't keep thinking in WoW terms. I think WoW infects their thoughts and they don't even know it. They need a 12 step program, no pun intended. First step, admitting you have a disease.
I felt like farming for Leoric's Signet one day, 20-30 hours later (I don't really keep track of time well), 24 legendaries have dropped, but no signet. I guess I like pain because I keep going, but the one thing that is starting to eat at me is that 8 See No Evils have dropped (that's 33%).
I suppose I have bad RNG luck. A bad random walk some smart math dude would say. It just seems there is something more to it though, I'm not sure what. It seems rings drop less in general, and that for me to get a legendary ring, a ring must be 'rolled'. I thought I read this somewhere...
I farm a2, normal mp10, with max MF. I start in VotA, then sewers, cistern, oasis and waterways.
What's your experience? Any thoughts to what's going on behind the curtain?
I don't keep up with all the forum posts and blue talk. I've been paying more attention lately because of 1.0.4. This caught my eye because...
I've had the exact same experience as the writer of this article and agree with his 'problem' analysis. I'm not sure what the fix is though. It's kinda nice to know others have this issue.
In addition to his experience, I've struggled to grow my gold and finally hit a point where farming to buy the next upgrade on the AH was just too much... work. My gold was depleted from buying items on the AH and dying trying to make progress. I'm sure dying is mostly my fault. It's hard to shake the Blue posts from the past that say, "...You're gonna die a lot in inferno..."
I'm a fan and would like to play more, but I've quit playing my WD (ActIII Inferno). Maybe once a week I play a HC Barb.
And for the final personal vent...
Pre release, Blizzard touted the fact that the game had been in development for so long (10y?). The story, graphics, and general game play are great; but don't make me wait that long and then turn me away in 170+ hours. Hindsight 20/20, right...?
I'm not confident in my own judgement at this point. The whole ... two men enter, one man leaves ... is making me nervous.
