Builds depend highly on gear. If you have very high dps you can run Archon, which is a very fast and very efficient build at low MP levels. If you have higher resistances and armor, you can try a CM melee build, which is more efficient at higher MP levels and works well for soloing uber bosses, but is a bit more gear dependent than Archon (because it requires some amount of LoH, crit, APoC, and defensive stats).
I've been trying out a lot of different skills for my wizard & still have trouble fighting solo. If anyone could give me some advice that would be great. I don't mind playing in a party but I just wanted some opinions. I really want to keep 1 armor skill so i can keep my Galvanizing Ward passive skill. I also want to keep Magic Weapon(blood magic) in my active skills so I have 2 healing skills.

I was just curious if a party of 4 monks could stack their mantras or not. I'm guessing not since 4 monks with the healing mantra would be pretty hard to take down. This would be the same with dodge, damage, & thorns. I'm guessing that a party of 4 monks could still have 1 of each mantra on right? That would still be a pretty tough fight of 4 monks with all mantras active.
I was just curious if a party of 5 monks could stack their mantras or not. I'm guessing not since 4 monks with the healing mantra would be pretty hard to take down. personally, it would not surprise me if the runes got eliminated. the rune effects will probably all stay but they will be added somehow with a npc, gold, or some item. blizzard has removed quite a few systems already so it could happen just to speed the release of the game.
i would choose the wizard's slow time skill. i could get so much more done in 1 day with slow time. i could play d3 really fast with the alabaster runestone.
thanks for the info. i thought it would be very useful to have a 2nd set of gear if you wanted high elemental damage on 1 set of weapon(s) & resource generation/regeneration on the 2nd set of weapon(s). (or whatever 2 sets of purposes you wanted). if you can still right click to switch it still works but it's just a little bit slower.
In D2, you could hit a button on your keyboard to switch your sword & shield for a two handed weapon. (or vice versa). is this still the case in d3? or will we have to go to town to switch that like our skills?
Some special mobs/bosses are immune to certain CC effects.
For example I can freeze Leoric with Frost Nova (I believe it's with reduced duration on him, but I can't be 100% sure), but I am unable to blind him with Blinding Flash.
That's what I was guessing. I thought we'd be able to maybe slow down the bosses but not prevent them from attacking altogether. (like blind from blinding flash).
The barbarian has ground stomp with a 3 second stun. The monk has a 5 second blind from blinding flash. The witch doctor has a 5 second fear from horrify. The wizard has a 3 second freeze from frost nova. The demon hunter has a few skills that slow movement speed for a few seconds. Will these affect bosses? Or will bosses be immune to these modifiers? Has anyone tried these on the skeleton king?
When a character has 2 1handed weapons equipped does the left hand weapon attack first & then the right? Does it look like 1 attacks then the other but is it all based the the dps in the character screen? Does this change if you use an attack skill?
Since the mystic has more information on her I looked up what she could all add to our items. Although, I didn't see a restriction on enhancements per item. Is their a restriction? If not then we could make each item extremely powerful. (this isn't even considering what the base item would have). If a character had a full set on, they would get all the stat bonuses from each item, all set bonuses, & then the enhancement bonuses from the mystic on each item! That would be awesome! Also, there is multiple levels of enhancements for each item. Can we put lvl 1-10 enhancements all on 1 item?
