Hello! I've been 70 for a week or so, and I was wondering wheter you could help me to become better. I do bounties on t3 and rifts on t2 mainly, I know that my gear has bad rolls and gems, but except for that, what items should I strive for first? Especially, what to farm from Kadala, and is it worth it to farm A1 for another RoRG? Thanks!
Try to gamble mara boots and replace chest with cindercoat or gloves with magefists. Dump that crimson belt for some good harrington or witching hour. Replace custom engineering with something else once you find bombardier's rucksack. You could also try a build without generator. I have had 6 piece Mara in stash for sometime, but have been running 4 piece with Taskers and no RoRG as the one I have is horrible.
Last nigfht I decided to TRY the sentry set up and put on 5 pieces, lost damage pputting the head piece on, changed out SoJ for RoRG and shifted from vault/trail ( I still have smokscreen/healing) to sentry and from arrchery to the extra sentry passive(?). I don't have the off hand that enables it.
So I dropped a massive amount of damage. base dps was over 1 mill, down to 870k before all the bonuses etc.
Used to running pets and moving alot attacking AND staying alive, and with his build ( far from perfect but usable) I went from running T-3 easily with pets to walking through T-4 easily and only worrying about keeping myself out of harms way. It WAS easier but seemed...slow? Maybe calm is a better word. At any rate, the three sentry's are quite a boost to firepower but I'm not sure this is the way I wanan play. I don't have any CDR and that might help a bit, just seemed slow. My spenders are just double chakrams and cluster/physical. Damage seemed pretty good even with the drop in DPS. I guiess the biggest thing is simply the change in strategy?
I dont't understand why would you use chakrams with fire rune as a physical dh. I suggest you to replace it with multishot /full broadside as it has twice the damage (not counting elemental dmg buff) and massive area coverage.
I guess the only reason I still have double chakrams is laziness combines with great area coverage? The damage has always been adequate despite the low numbers indicated in the description. Also Twin Chakrams is 10 hatred, Multishot is 25? Have never used multishot so I will be giving it a look. Thanks for the suggestion.
BTW, with this same build I've actually been doing T5 bounties and rifts solo with little to no problems. The sentry build simply jumps up level cpability crazily. I do need to get my resists up, they are horribly low.
As 6p mara dh you personally don't deal most of the damage anyway (your sentries do) so the cost of chakrams doesn't really matter. Chakrams deal 220% x2 and multishot deals like 600%+ so for me it's simple choice.
Provocator - I looked at your armory and it seemed intresting. I'm currently specced fire on my DH but I'm thinking into going physical instead. Is the TnT needed then? I'm trying to get TnT but it's so damn hard. Haven't got a single pair since RoS was released. As of now I need better Marauders with some vit/armory instead of the crappy rolls I got and also a Marauders chestpiece since I'm using a bad Cindercoat at the moment.

I run around gathering health globes. Without generator I have addidtional slot for marked for death /contangion.

So I just got 2 pieces of marauders and bombadiers rucksack. What's the next step? I was thinking using TaT gloves/magefist instead of my marauder ones, and then obviously use marauders chestpiece instead of my cindercoat. Also need to replace my belt :/
If you already have TnT you can go for it but then you should change your bracers and soj to physical (and find amulet with ele dmg). Your belt is not that bad but harrington would be better.
I've very recently switched to DH, and while I've been very lucky with Marauder drops (got all pieces), my gear is still lacking in many areas. I've got a few questions regarding my gear :
- how good/bad is my Buriza? (generally speaking, and specifically for a Marauder build)
- my Dead Man's feels pretty good, better than the lower-rolled 9th Cirri I've got, and I don't have a Bombardier's yet. Is it worth looking for the Bombardier's?
- Any suggestions for my 2nd ring and belt?
Generally speaking buriza is good for 6p mara but the one you have is lets say mediocre. You want something with 2,5k + dps (doesn't matter if it's buriza or some other 2h xbow). Bombardier's rucksack is way better because it lets you drop custom engineering for something else i.e. ambush, awarness or archery. As to your belt you should look for harrington but some withing hour, or hellcat waistguard would also be ok. When it comes to your 2nd ring there are not many other choices than SoJ or Unity (x2).
Just got marauders pants which rolled really poorly, but I need them to complete the 6-piece. The stats are:
460 Dex, 450 Vita, 11% Grenade damage, 1 socket - they also have phys res as a secondary stat so i can't roll all res.
I don't use grenades so i'm thinking i will benefit more from rolling that into armor, instead of rerolling the socket for 2 sockets because otherwise the grenade stat is just a pure waste. Any help?
Yeah I think that you should reroll grenade damage as it indeed has no use with 6pc mara. I had the same situation w mara chest because I had to reroll some useless stat and leave 2 sockets instead of rolling 3.
Hey guys. I need some help with my DH. I have some gear that I got in the beginning of RoS when I was playing quite often on the character. I want your opinions on improvement and other good builds for me. I'm currently using Cluster arrow build which is quite boring to be honest. I want Marauders 6-p but only have three pieces so far and they're not optimal quite yet.
I have the danetta's weapons in my stash both with emerald gem in them. Is that something I should use instead of 1-h and a quiver?
I've already tried reforging some of my gear to vit/all res/armor but I can't do that without losing CC/CHD. My toughness is only at 4 million and I die really quickly. Can barely survive T2.
First thing for you is to get 6p mara bonus so farm rifts and spend all shards on pants and feet (pants first because those swamp land waders looks awful on dh). Second I would look for some good (over 2,5k dmg) 2h xbow till then you can keep your 1h+quiver but you can swap quiver for another 1h if you see upgrade in dmg. Another thing is your toughness you should roll life% on shoulders and maybe throw in some vit gems instead of emeralds if you feel your survi is still too low. The next thing is that you should change preparation to wolf companion since wolf gives you 20% dmg increase on almost every elite/champion pack and as you have 4p mara bonus you also get 10% movement and 10% all res. Also you should change cull the weak for ambush because its just brilliant for hard hitting CA fire as well as 6p mara sentry build. You should also look for some +fire dmg neck.

Not seen any hard numbers on players IAS upping sentry damage, I've heard it does by increasing the sentry damage, not the sentries speed, but again not "retained" any hard numbers. I guess the good ole Ghom test would work but you'd want to try on throw away pieces I'm guessing. To see atleast the corollary on which appears stronger.Can you swap a piece with one vs the other and retain your sentries?
I ( and I don't use sentries so total guess) would go for CHD on the AS slot as you can see from your profile that CHD is a far greater increase in damage. I would guess it'd be a far greater increase in sentry damage too?

Yeah I know that I'm short on CHD but that will change when I reroll my neck (on which I already spent millions just to get miserable 71%...) and reroll TnT (the question is which stat to reroll)

IMO Cape of the Dark Night legendary affix is way better.
