If they did release something like this, I'm sure they would ruin it by incorporating magical abilities for everyone. I'd hope that they would just go into more detail with weaponry, armor and skills.
Thats the main reason I'm a fan of the diablo series the huge range of various items.
As much as I wouldnt mind seeing a decently made MMO of Starcraft, I think its time that Blizzard concentrate on something completely new
Since they already have RTS, MMO, RPG's
Possibly and FPS like Starcraft: Ghost, which was canned/postponed.
First Person MMO maybe
but something not related to the Starcraft/Warcraft/Diablo worlds.
I voted Titan Quest and God of War, I prefer you see more of the terrain surrounding rather than it being too close.
Diablo II had very large areas to cover, I'm sure Diablo III would have even more.
Possibly depending on which area you in, it may zoom in closer for areas that are inside, but while outside you can see further distances.
If they go into more detail about how much you can customize your character then hopefully close enough to see your character in enough detail, to pick out and see the specific items that you are carrying.
My main concern is how indepth they go into customization, that was exactly what makes diablo II so popular, the pure range of variety in weapons. I hope they they go into more detail, even down to modifying your face (Oblivion style) to having different looks for all weapons/armour as much as possible. I loved how when you socketed certain items that they would change in colour depending on which gem you chose.
The whole point is make people want to improve their character and show him/her off to his friend of how hardcore he/she looks, but without it looking anywhere similar to someone else who has the same type armour.
Exactly why WOW is so popular, not the gameplay, just the pure feeling of being some hardcore warrior with the ability to do magic makes people feel better.
I've never played Diablo II online. Is it still very popular?
I'll have to give it a go. I just recently started playing it again on lan with a mate who I use to spend hours upon hours playing it, its so addictive.

Agreed Maverek, but thats why most of the decent players are on seperate servers like iccup.com. So much better than noobs on the default gateways.
I'm usually extremly negative towards new games coming out so I never set myself up for dissapointment
