This is great and succinct but its written like a self help book. A list with bullet points n visuals following a timeline would b more noob proof but i doubt a fresh noob would b looking at this sight so its perfect for intermediates looking to create a method for seasons effective fun
Ever played DND with a good master and a bunch of creative people? its that in solo player. YOU NEED TO HAVE THE MINDSET TO APPRECIAte THE QUALItiteS 0 - O
The wording on lightning shield's shocking aspect has been changed from landing a spell to landing an attack for a trigger. With things like aoe and chain lightning will you be getting multiple procs per spell or does the wording just mean that attacking with your weapon etc counts too?
lol Conduit says it restores 700% arcane power on melee hit. Probably a typo or i dont understand how it works. It was 10% OF arcane power before. They also nerfed the Spectral lifesteal and upped its damage in comparison to other spells massively so its actually a choice for damage and not just an excuse to use melee. These crits will be a common choice with spells like lightning shield.
we dont really have to worry too much about wizards using axes n such (not that it ruins it for me)since so many wizard friendly items have +80% or so bonus damage for wizard damage.
i saw a 1h wand with a potential for 400dps; that's only 100dps of the highest 2h weapon.
all of this means very little when we dont know the area effects and the average cluster ratio of enemies you would expect. for all we know, indigo meteor could have an area of 40ft with each meteor crashing randomly covering a 5ft radius. while crimson could cover 20ft and have no impact cooldown (have to wait for the spell to finish before you cast another). im pretty sure that most spells we are expecting to be op have a built in down side. In d2 how overpowered would orb have been if it had the same cast rate are fireball?
Followers will still be beneficial none the less if they remain alive... anything to mitigate some damage/support your group will be beneficial... From a hardcore perspective...
i dont think your making the assumption that you can keep them in party scenarios but il clarify anyway that they are for solo play only

How will the game be balanced around the followers?
The followers won't be a massive part of game balance. They're there to make the single-player, normal difficulty experience feel more cooperative and to aid in enhancing the story. These factors lose some importance in multiplayer and in the higher difficulty settings of the game, and as such, the followers won't be as relevant there.
