Player skill? Wrong game, this one is all about gear.
Once you gear out your monk you can pretty much clear the game by holding down left mouse button.
What I do is constantly move back, not really kiting but just changing my position.. It's more difficult when the mobs are fast, because they'll get ahead of you to make you step on fire and keep the chains on you.. also try to focus on 1 at a time to reduce the fire chains.
I usually only have trouble with Fire chains, molten, desecrator, plagued and arcane if they're coupled with waller. Frozen can be dodged, and Jailer can be circumvented with Thunderclap, but waller really has the potential to ruin my day.. Funny that some affixes I never bothered with on my DH give me trouble on the monk, and vice versa. Reflect damage used to be the bane of my existence, but now gets ignored
Templar just rushes in and dies, the enchantress atleast gives you an armor buff and the 3% attack speed is nice when she's alive, granted that's not often.
Regarding LoH, nearly every spell triggers LoH, there's a detailed list about the coefficients of the procc on the us forums: http://us.battle.net...49154265?page=1 .
Armor buff seems to stay on when she's down?
The attack speed buff doesn't stay. Never checked the armor buff, just assumed it went away when she died along with the attack speed..
I have +18 I think, good enough in Act 2.
The maximum is +45 though, not +30, there are legendaries that can have +disc and are not ranged weapons/quivers/cloaks
Perhaps steady aim would be a suitable alternative since you should be able to stay 10 yards (a surprisingly small distance in D3) away from mobs.
How far is 10 yards anyway? I'm using Steady Aim myself, but I'm not sure how far away I should be:p
A bit smaller than the radius of a Caltrops. It's very easy to keep it up..
What I don't get however, is why everyone likes Nether Tentacles so much. Yes, it hits Belial and Azmodan multiple times, but for everything else it's less damage than Frost Arrow, harder to target and 3% life leech isn't getting you anywhere..
Too bad sentry is a bad joke...
Why does everyone keep bringing this thing up, though I suppose in group play you might not need your disc for anything else. I just hate this skill. if it brought the pain like hyrda then sure, but its kinda pathetic on paper.
20% is a bad joke but 28% is "bringing the pain"? I don't see your logic here..
But yeah, Sentry is one of the skills I probably won't use..
I'm pretty sure that will cost you 90 Hatred, not 30.. otherwise it would just say "Increases the damage to 825% but reduces the maximum number of traps to 1"
Keep making more threads, I don't think anyone noticed the anti-DH campaign you've been conducting on the forums.
If you want passive damage reduction may I sugest a Barb or Monk? Leave the DH for those who know how to play it
Well you can't compare DH skills with Wizard skills.
Multishot would hit every enemy, but it only does 10% more damage than Chakram, and costs 4x as much.
Fan of Knives does a ton of damage, but requires you to be close, and has a cooldown.
Spike trap has a very small AoE, and a high cost.
Cluster Arrow has a ridiculous hatred cost, and we don't know how big is it's area.
I'd say Chakram definitely has a place on the DH's AoE arsenal
Was hard to test on the Beta since everything died in 1 hit anyway. I know it worked with Hungering Arrow, don't remember other skills..
Compared to our other passives, I don't see myself ever taking this one. Even in the beta, where you only had the choice of this and 2 other ones, I always picked the others

That said, your damage seems low for Act 3

But yeah, do want a Windforce with +10 disc and that quiver with +10 disc and something else nice
But yeah, Sentry is one of the skills I probably won't use..
