The diablo 1 classes are too vanilla. Good for their time.
I vote for the necromancer hands down. He was forever balanced and always fun. My all time favorite is the barb so i guess im in luck
Agreed, thats why I want a warrior but with some new features, throw in some paladin type skills, and some barb, get one wicked warrior. it'd be great if they got the voice actor back for the warrior too
I want a more disciplined soldier type, a natural leader of the group. i loved the over look of the warrior
Title says it all, If blizzard were to bring back ONE character from the previous diablos, who would you like to see? And to make it more interesting, what kind of resource would he/she use?
D1:
Warrior
Rogue
Sorcerer
D2:
Paladin
Sorceress
Necromancer
Amazon
LOD:
Druid
Assassin
Now obviously some of the new characters are hybrids (witch doctor=Necromancer/Druid, and demon hunter is a amazon/assassin) but skills aside, who would you love to see make a return? for me I'd love to see the return of the Warrior, sure the barb has taken his place and i'm happy to see the barb in d3, but i'd love to see the warrior in D3, maybe make him a hybrid of barb/paladin
I didn't really like the D3 lineup compared to D2 but looking back now they seem to have cover all the bases in terms of past classes. So i've come to like the characters, even the witch doctor, but i still would prefer a necro over hime, and a paladin over a monk, i do like the monk though
If you can share items what makes the difference if you can share gold? Say you share one sweet item from a high lve char to a low leve one. You could sell that for a ton of gold and now the low lve char is rich. This is how it is supposed to be and it dosen't make it less fun it makes it so when you have a high lve char you can make gold/loot for your next char faster. This is the diablo way.
Off topic, I was just wondering did they ever fix the duplication problem in D1? It was funny how easy it was. Drop item, walk away, click on item, pick up belt potion at same time. I'm just going to stop worrying, D3 will be good no matter what,
Keep in mind that Blizzard is planning to have more ways for gold to leave the system than there were in Diablo 2. Artisans will be a big part of that, I think. The cost of services at a high level will likely be pretty steep. Additionally, the AH will be there, and you're going to want to buy either directly or indirectly for gold.
I think we need to be careful not to assume that everyone with a level 60 character is going to be walking around with more gold than they know what to do with.
You make a good point, just think though, The gold of a high level character is obviously worth more to a low level. you'll still have more than any low lvl could make, whether you can spare it or not.
it makes you do this, need some gold? jump on to your high lvl character and kill some high lvl monsters or do a quest. because why would you use your new guy to find bits of gold at a time? it just makes your new guy a little less fun. I really think it should be separate

This doesn't seem right to me. sharing loot is one this but gold just makes it too easy.
nope, Loot = Gold
yea i know that but its not as easy as just sharing gold. i mean they want to increase the value of gold since D2's currency was basically useless. But now its tied to rmah, which gives it value but sharing it with your low lvl chars (keep in mind Diablo is not wow guys come one) it basically reduces the value back to its original D2 state bc you can buy anything you want from npcs. it's just takes the fun out of it
I do understand the need to make it accessible for all your characters for reasons of RMAH, but it just ruins all other in game npc purchases
Kaivax posted that all of your D3 Characters all have access to the same gold you find across all your characters, doesn't this seem obviously flawed? I mean, you have a high level character with loads of gold, and create a new character, that character has the same amount of gold already available from lvl1. So really your new characters will have no reason to pick up gold, when you can get more from your other high lvl character. This doesn't seem right to me. sharing loot is one this but gold just makes it too easy.
I was curious, After you defeat the skeleton king, are you allowed to continue using that character or do you need to make a new one? And if you can what is the level cap in the beta? I imagine around 10.
