Essentially I feel like this build has a good combination of healing and offense to be a good solo build. I would certainly add a defensive spell when playing in a group, but I feel like I'll be leveling solo for a while at least. I'm really looking forward to testing it out.
There's also the Transcendence passive. At max level that is 4260 extra healing. That's pretty damn nice. Especially if you're soloing. I imagine that would be real good in PvP as well.
Battle.net is running real slow, you can tell they're buckling under the weight of all the people wanting to check if they're in yet. It's great. Hopefully they'll see this as a sign that they need to beef up the servers for release. I'm hoping they'll be offering a downloadable purchase. I'd prefer to just buy it through battle.net.

I would imagine the Diablo 3 team will be working on the Diablo 3 expansions that will be made (I know that the team for WoW does all their expansions and that game is much more grand in scale). I'd love to see WC4 too, that's what I'd guess, unless they've got some new IP. I expect Blizzard to come up with an awesome game, no matter what.
It's crazy to see that the Peter Lee one is from '06. They HAVE been working on this for a long time (I know it was said that they moved the team down when the initial Bliz North team got dropped, just didn't realize how hardcore). Very cool to see the concept art. It just needs to come out next year now, because I want to play it so bad.
I LOVED what I saw in the gameplay video. I want to play it right now. I don't care if it's 1/10th of 1% done. I want to play it. I know that Blizzard makes the best games ever, because they take the time to do that. The game looks amazing, those globes have been in other games (a console vampire game my old roommate used to play alot, can't remember the name) and it's a good system. I really wasn't a huge fan of just buying a ton of potions and then hoping I didn't get hit so hard that I died before I could fill my health.
This article is awesome (as somethingawful often is). It's perfectly correct. Everything I've read in that petition (yes, I did read it because I wanted to see what it was all about), just seems like no matter what you want D2 again. I remember when I first played D2, I wasn't that impressed with the graphics. It got a bit better when I got a better graphics card, but I played the crap out of the game. I was a moderator in my school's computer lab, so were two of my friends, and though we didn't think the graphics were amazing or anything, we played that game for about 9 months straight. Because the game was amazing. This is the first Diablo game that looks amazing in the diablo universe. The rainbow is almost impossible to notice. I asked several of my friends who played D2 and none of them even noticed it. I didn't even see it until I looked at milanv's sig. Seriously? You noticed that? I'm gonna have to go watch the high quality video again and see if I can catch it in action, but it looks awesome.
I think the game will get darker. The game takes place in a world where everyone has forgotten/given up the belief that the past two games even happened. That means things have to start in a pretty good place. I mean, how else would these people believe that nothing that bad has happened in the past? If it was super dark and eery all day, how could you not be constantly afraid of some evil demon coming after you. My basement is dark, if you think I don't turn on as many lights as I can when I go down there you're sorely mistaken.
I understand your want for it to be the way you think it should be. That's totally fine. However, I think it's to the point of nitpicking. Yes, those statues are a bit lame, SO WHAT?! It's a statue that is really only there so you can knock it down onto some monsters. Plus, I don't really care about tiny little details like that. The gameplay is #1 for me. Like I was saying about D2.
On Sol being biased. Who cares? It's not an us against them thing. We all want to play Diablo 3. That's the way it is. If you feel you are in the majority, then he is the dissenting voice. He's the one who's standing up against this giant juggernaut. Either way, it's a funny article about D3, which is really what the point of this site is. It's about news about D3, they've made posts about people's distaste with the graphics, and now they're showing the other side. Oh no.
I generally like what I saw. I voted that I thought it was great how it is, but that's not entirely true. I do think it needs a bit more work, that was just the closest answer to how I feel. I really am not worried about it being less "dark." I just think there do need to be places that are just really dark. The end levels should be especially so. I mean, when I was fighting in Hell in D2 (before the expansion) I just remember thinking, wow, this is an awesome change from the last three acts, especially the second act, that was very bright. I could feel the sun beating down on me in that act.I think some of the art might need a bit more detail too, but those are things I believe will be coming with more work on it in general.
I really like the move to a more abilities based combat system. I think with an abilities based combat system, it is lending itslef to a lot more variety in gameplay, which means people will be able to have different styles of play, and one of them won't just be right and the other wrong, which was how it was a bit in D2 (not entirely though). I think if we were given the diablo 2 system now, we'd be really unthrilled about it. It works great, but it's really just click away. I really hope that respecs are possible, as long as they do make some sort of way to make it so you can't just respec all the time.
Something I forgot, the "how it is" and "how it should be" photos are not right. They are all just darker, that's it. That just means you have to turn down your contrast in the game, then it'll look good to you. Do that then. Some of the things I really liked about the new look are the way you can see several levels below you at times. I can see getting really freaked out running along a ledge or something like and seeing the drop be like 5 floors or something. That, I cannot wait for.
Your first post = Completely wrong
I have in my living room, an adapter for a 3 Plug to 2 Plug.
I'm using it for my playstation 3.
And here's a picture.
Actually, he's not completely wrong though. It is just a ground. What that adapter does is give it a bit of a ground. However, you can just snap off the middle pin and it'll work. It's just not a great idea.
What the hells going on with blizzard.com right now?
It's forwarding me to eu.blizzard.com/us/ and it's giving me the "403 - Forbidden" error. Which is pretty lame if you ask me. Anyone else having this problem?
There's a McDonalds on Champs Elysees for goodness sakes! lol. You know!? That long road that goes straight down from the Arc!? One of the most famous streets in the world!? Go get a big mac for me, will yah?
Don't forget, it's Le Big Mac, and there is no quarter pounder with cheese, it's royale with cheese

I just want there to be parts of the game where that isn't that element. Then, the colors would actually have more depth color wise.
It's like compressing audio (and limiting it). Sure, it gets louder so you can hear the music better, but it's not as dynamic. I like dynamic.
