Taking magic find off items breaks the whole game. This is the worst idea I have ever heard of. Goodbye forever d3. You had so much potential and Blizzard ruined it all.
Please elaborate how taking magic find off items breaks the whole game. In my view blizzard's intention is to eliminate gear swapping. This paragon level i would say is the only fresh idea in patch 1.04 in getting people back to play. On top of that 100 paragon level is the longest progress system ive heard of, so literally its forever d3.
I think they spiked about a week ago and brimstones were going for 400k. I have a feeling that plans will be like everything else in that people's expectations are going to be too high.
We can't really expect an ilvl 61 1-hander to be 1200 dps, can we? That would just destroy the market and the game.
The market has already been destroyed. Every lvl 60 legendary goes for 400k even its piece of junk.
Close to 20 friends of mine were online during the initial hype, after infamous nerfs some left. After weeks of not getting any epic loot, some left, after MONTHS of not getting epic loot most left.
The main problem is repetitive almost to the point of boring, no competitive gameplay. Secondary problem is the wide gap between players item quality. The so called difficulty is actually just gear check, inferno can be steamrolled wearing perfect rolled items. With 1.04 might bring some back but they and ME included are interested in GW2 as competitive play already present, tons of more customisation available and also no monthly fee.
when players say they beat inferno and there is nothing left to do i presume they never played D2. My character completed D2 hell and i went on farming mephisto and occasional baal for a whole year. Diablo is all about getting stuff to equip or sell, if you dont get excited about IDing a rare hoping it turns out great, diablo is not your game.
Players will be back on 1.1. By the way im adapting as TS mentioned, from sword and board barb to furious charging 2 hander due to high repair cost, from breaking vases in royal crypts to breaking monster skulls, from farming bosses pre nerf to farming to elite packs. Looking back the first day my barb hit 60,my barb have improved, adapted, and survived. "i cannot be denied":
It is easier to experiment 2h due to harsh prices of 1h weapons in AH. I tried different affixes on 2H and found out crit damage scales pretty well, currently at 209% inc with passives. Weapon speed isn't much an issue as my barb basically sprint tornado and furious charging everything. My sword and board has already started to collect dust.
Im fine with the drop chance of ilvls im getting 3-4 ilvl 63 rares per hour which is reasonable, but the random affix budget is way absurd... i mean getting regularly 200dps ilvl 63 weapon is facepalming to the extreme. I suggest they implement some minimum stats budget to of ilvl 62-63 to minimum dps of >500. Also seeing a rare archon piece dropping is a wonderful sight, after right clicking is entirely opposite.
im experimenting a aoe build primarily using furious charge (marauder). With current 2nd mace my barb can basically hit for 30K+ and crit for over 90k with 36% crit chance on act 1,2
Pro
Steamroll trash mobs as long they appear in group and low rare packs (except shielding/invulnerable minions) within secs
Con
bad survivability against range and tanky mobs.
Is life on hit better or life steal on my barb ? Does furious charge gain life on hit per mob ?
Since Magic find is considered on monsters and goblins now, few thoughts came to my mind.
Is it still worthwhile to keep 220% mf or downgrade to 100ish... so i can do valor runs faster ? With 220% i will need to pay attention to what im doing, 100ish my barb will be steamrolling act 1
Will sell value of mf gear drop ? Will i still benefit from vendor buy/sell trick ? Applies to ias items too
Which route is the most efficient now for act one ? since guranteed rare is now the same for rare packs and bosses
