- Azmodan is the Lord of Sin
- The seven deadly sins are: Wrath, Greed, Sloth, Pride, Lust, Envy, and Gluttony (Wikipedia, 2011)
At the 1:20 mark of the black soulstone cinematic we see what looks like a council room with several thrones and one large throne in the middle. Specifically we see is from Right to left, three regular thrones, one large throne and then three more regular thrones each with a demon sitting upon it with a different headdress awaking.
- There are total seven thrones, one representing each sin.
Problem: The center throne should belong to Azmodan himself, however he represents all seven sins. There is a throne missing for the seventh sin.
Potential solution: Perhaps Azmodan accounts for what is the considered the worst of the seven sins? A quick google search lead me to this answer which seems the most thought out.

This may have also just been a design choice because with 8 thrones Azmodan couldn't be center or would have to be behind/in-front
-We know that boss fights would be more strategy based and there would be methods to retrieve health globes during fights
-I speculate that when we face Azmodan, we will have to also fight the other council members. These council members would make the boss encounter more dynamic and provide opportunities for players to find health globes. (e.g. council member summons weaker demons)
-It was speculated back in early 2010 that Azmodan would possess skills and traits representing the seven sins here. I believe the cinematic cements the fact that we will instead have to at some point fight minions representing deadly sins along with Azmodan.
I think it might be forshadowing that the journal mentions a "hunter" from Xiansai. Perhaps this is a subtle or even unwilling bit of a clue as to one of the new classes, as a "hunter" fills the archtype left behind by rogue+amazon, and Xiansai is a seemingly newly introduced area to the map with a suspiciously asian sounding name to it, lending to it the stench of a culture that could possibly be harvested for a new class.
I'm not exactly telling everybody to stop the presses, so if im wrong, no big deal, but of course I'll land a fat "told ya so" all over the place if I turn out to be right. hehe
but the thing is, I used the term class loosely. "class" was just a way to name it. Every account would come equipped with one of these guys, the same as every character has a stash. Each account just comes equipped with this character. it isn't playable in the field other than trade games (Caldeum) where it can set up shops.
the problem wasn't how common uniques dropped it was out of control duping and botting. a lot of the really good uniques were actually quite ridiculously rare
I was listening to the blizzard podcast the other day and I came up with an idea that I think is feesible and would be interesting and fun...
on each account one could create a "Trade Character", like a peddler class... would perhaps look something along the lines of a middle adged man with a pack mule and a wagon.
Instead of there being a stash in each game, one would see this person and/or wagon. The stash size would be very large and accessable from any characters on the same account.
Now an intersting idea is that, one could log on as your trade character and use it to trade through channels and in ingame trading posts. A place where fellow merchants can meet and sell their wares. Think Caldeum, the merchant trade capital of Sanctuary.
In these games traders could set up shops and display certain wares for different prices. Other trader characters and hero charcters may browse these shops and look for things to buy. This means you could leave your game on while you go to work/school/hockey game etc... and you could come back and find your items sold, time saved, everyone is happy. Each game could have a short discription depicting what types of items are held in the shop. There would also be a search bar inwhich one could type "shako" and a list of shops w/ game name and possibly price listed. One could easily join the game and make the purchase. No more grueling hours wasted spamming "LOOKING FOR xxx /W *x_SLAYER_x" in trade channels.
Now this also presents opportunities to implement inflation reduction. "Hiring" a merchant character to set up a store could cost X gold per unit time the store is open. Simply put you have to pay your merchant to sell your goods. The other option is the merchant takes a percentage of the gold recieved for an item. Also it would make sense to add a small charge to use the search tool to look for an item.
Let me know what your thoughts are on a system like this!

maybe just an angle, but it's a thought

kinda disappointed, every other class has a very cool crest but the Witchdoctor's is kinda lame.
New asian samurai class from "Xiansai"!
There is no reason for it to take up a class.
