How is it that Sanctuary is hidden from Hell and Heaven (or was) but you can get to Hell from Sanctuary just by walking underground? Why is Hell underground, instead of like... a different dimension? Or continent?
it is a different dimension, and Sanctuary wasnt hidden to either Hell or Heaven by the time that the Prime Evils were banished from hell into the mortal plane since Trag'Oul was weakened to the level that he can no longer cloak Sanctuary
What happened to the Hero after he/she entered the portal, "Destruction's End"? They couldn't go back to Harragoth because it was seemly destroyed by the explosion of Mt. Arreat, I think. So where did he/she go?
Also, what happened to Cain after the explosion? How'd he get to safety after the explosion when he was at Harragoth when the explosion occurred, right?
Armor of Blood i think (i dont know im guessing pretty much) it was the armor of some sort of blood warlord, but i forgot the story so i might be wrong or right
Well, then since we don't know exactly where the Worldstone came from or how it was created we can't really know if Izual knew more than Tyrael, but since this is amongst the highest secret of Heaven, it's a safe bet to say that the Angiris Council knew more than the rest of the Angels.
While being at it, can anyone remember me how Inarius got the Worldstone, I think he stole it from the place of creation or something.
Inarius Stole it from heaven (while not knowing that he was also carrying Trag'Oul)
That is not necessarily true, there have been multiple times when I know more (a lot more) than my superiors. Even with stuff they use, and it's not just because they are old and new to computers, this is stuff we used at work day in day out.
depends what kind of superior you have and what you know
When the Horadrim and Tyrael at first managed to capture the three prime evils within the Soulstones, why didn't they simply destroy them at Hellforge right away? Admittedly the stones were supposed to hold them trapped within them for all eternity, but in Baals case it would seem that it would have been easier to just destroy it, rather then having poor Tal Rasha be tortured by him for all eternity. I can think of some few reasons for why Tyrael wouldn't be too eager to destroy them, perhaps he didn't see it necessary or worth the cost, or did he back then perhaps not even know about that they could be destroyed at Hellforge? If I recall correctly the the civil war in Hell between the lesser evils would still have been raging at its fullest during this time, so maybe they didn't have access to the forge? The argument that it didn't seem to be needed is the one I'd go with if it wasn't for Tal Rasha again, I just have a hard time imagining Tyrael letting him sacrifice himself if he didn't see it as the only option.
the horadrim were mere mortals, an assault on the hellforge would be i'll fated even with the assistance of Tyrael and possibly the only way portal to hell could only be opened by the Prime evils
I've read the Sin War and I can certify you that this information is legit (I'm not absolutely certain about the graphical description of some Angels though, if you really want you can alway ask Atrumentis yourself as he is the one who wrote this page as far as I know).
Only one thing, Izual and Hadriel are simply angels, they aren't archangels like tyrael.
Btw, Yaerius is the one who would have indirectly founded the Zakarum Church
I already have my own theory on the matter, I just wanted to know some extra opinions on this strange process. I know it can't be proven, but it still fun to think that it would be possible.
i was guessing that Yaerius had something to do with religion, though i think that Izual and Hadriel are archangels
By the way, I'm asking for an article I plan to write, those of you who follow the Starcraft boards may know some of my other articles, all can be found at sc2armory.com/forums, under articles, if you care.
mhmmm u might wanna read the Sin war novels on that, i got it from the wiki
Question (or rather inquiry): There are five archangels including Tyrael, what do we know about them?
Well there's the Angiris Council Which Includes:
Auriel: A Female archanagel, with robes of blue she is very sympathetic, she protects the existence of Sanctuary (even though she never interferes directly like Tyrael) Likely the Archangel of Peace
Imperius: A Male Archangel with robes of Royal Red with a breastplate of swords upturned having the fiercest nature of all archangels, he voted for the destruction of Sanctuary, Likely the Archangel Of War
Ithrael: An archangel of Gray-clad being naturally neutral, he is neither male or female in appearance, Likely the archangel of Balance or Neutrality
Malthael: A male archangel with a gaunt figure and robes and a breastplate which are black, Likely the archangel of Pain or Death or Demise
Tyrael: A Male Archangel, Known as the archangel of Justice he gets involved with affairs and interferes with matters of Sanctuary, even against the wishes of his own kin, White robes
Inarius (former member): the creator of Sanctuary and the Nephalem (now known as mortals) he was captured and tortured by Mephisto
ArchAngels:
Izual: One of the greatest heros of the great conflict, he is the weilder of the legendary runeblade AzureWrath (forged my tyrael himself), He led an ill-fated assault upon The hellforge tasked with destroying Shadowfang (which was nearing completion), Both weilder and weapon. Even against the wishes of his mentor,Tyrael. He and a band of angels were captured and his followers were turned into creatures, while he was forced to give up heaven's most guarded secrets.
Hadriel: An angel seen guarding the entrance to Diablo's domain (it is unknown what his purpose is)
Well technically, skeletons (just like most undeads) are golems made of bone and flesh possessed by evil spirits, so by definition a skeleton is already a creature possessed by a ghost. If they weren't they couldn't move, see or do anything.
The real question is, how the hell is it physically possible for ghosts to see???
Common there just need to a be a scientific explanation to it.
A little question. The archangel Hadriel. Why is he in hell? And why is he there? Is there anything canonical about him aside of the fact that he appears in Diablo 2 and tells you that you should smash the soulstone first? And why is an angel in hell? To me Hadriel is intriguing at the least...
he guards the entrance to the domain of Diablo, i know nothing more than that hell be happy though, i think he heals you and he is quite a waster :):D
well Mephisto did indeed corrupt the zakarum, council he lured the greatest of them to shatter the stone, by putting the largest piece into himself the council leader let mephisto manifest a Physical form in Sanctuary. The rest of the shards he sat into the zakarum council members ( which you fight in D2 A3-> Travincal).
It was Mephistos influence, over the counil members that led the zakarum to send King Leoric( i hope you are familirised with him) and his men to Tristam to rule there.
And it was Diablo that first corrupted Lazarus into freeing him, and after trying to take over Leroic; yet he was to strong. thus Lazarus kidnapped the kings young sun Prince Albrecht. this was the host you fought in Diablo1.
Hope that cleared it up =),glad to help
Zelik
Mephisto sent King Leoric and His followers to Tristram? i thought he was only a foreign king. Never thought they were unknowningly being sent to their very own enemy and doom
it is a different dimension, and Sanctuary wasnt hidden to either Hell or Heaven by the time that the Prime Evils were banished from hell into the mortal plane since Trag'Oul was weakened to the level that he can no longer cloak Sanctuary
hope that answers yur question
im pretty sure he survived, somehow he must've
oooh im still close, thanks for clearing that up my friend

Inarius Stole it from heaven (while not knowing that he was also carrying Trag'Oul)
depends what kind of superior you have and what you know
he should know more than Izual, since he is one of the finest and most trusted warriors of heaven (both by rank and ability)
the horadrim were mere mortals, an assault on the hellforge would be i'll fated even with the assistance of Tyrael and possibly the only way portal to hell could only be opened by the Prime evils
