My thoughts:
Monk: Jade or Gold/ White Combo
WD: I really like Splock Blocks Model: Purple/Green Combo
DH: Hatred: Red/Black Discipline: Blue/White
Barb: As is
Wiz: As is

Idk why, but i've always been the kind of person that really enjoys a challenge and something that is a step away from normal. I've played almost all classes in d2. And I must say, a clothy melee class that uses fists and combos sounds like a healthy change from the archetypical class structure. On the other hand I love PvP In a 1v1 situation against a barb I just don't see the monk coming out on top when both classes roughly have the same resource mechanic. The monk is supposed to be a speedy/agile class but Ive only seen the monk use one movement skill and thats the short dash forward while the barb has leap as well as sprint. (I hope increased run speed returns in some way shape or form but thats for a different thread ) I've looked and looked for monk pvp footage on youtube but I haven't had any luck thus far to (dis)prove my assumptions. It seems only time will tell on this one but I wanted to see what you guys think.

Since it seems to be a popular topic I thought I might make a poll to go along with our boredom. If you think you have a good idea feel free to post.

Jay Wilson has made it clear that it is not the aim of Blizzard to turn D3 into an e-sport format game. IMO it's sad to see the LMS model of PVP not being released with d3 initially but let's not assume that it won't come in a future update or expansion.

If for some reason they decide that the LMS model is unfit for d3 in the efforts to keep the game un-competitive, why not consider the following formats:

-2v2v2 [Multi-Team]
-Capture the Flag
-Dota
-4v4? [Does anyone know if this is still going to make its way into the game?]

-Different Map Variations?


Seeing as how they have a new matchmaking system specifically for D3 i can't think of any reason why they wouldn't release more than one game type.

Im interested to see what you guys think/have to add? Try not to troll to hard

It can be balanced by only allowing certain slots have this mod. So you can't stack it to ridicolous amount, like D2 (movespeed only appeared in boots if i'm not mistaken).

Idk. I just feel that without an item like enigma. [assumption] The fast paced action that is diablo 2, might be missing for me. The whole twitch reflex mechanic that d2 offers is what draws me in so much. But you do have a great point. Movement speed increases attached to boots would be a great solution but only time will tell.

It just seems like the running speed seems a little slow in d3 and since teleport isn't spammable anymore i feel fleshy classes like the wiz might be at a disadvantage up against a barb of the same speed. Same goes for demon hunter. Anyone happen to know anything about its [increased run/walk] return?

In conclusion, PC games that are being developed for both PC and consoles is a bad idea due to the different specifications each has. One (primarily the consoles) would force the other to be bogged down to reduce developement costs and such.

Ok let me give you a scenario:

Diablo 3 comes out in November 2011 on PC and Mac and everyones happy cuz it didn't come out on console and the controls are ideal for diablo 3 and you couldn't have been happier

Febuary 2012 Diablo comes out for Xbox 360 and PS3

Will this really have a lasting effect on your opinion of the gameplay if nothing has changed since the release of the game on PC? (considering you liked the PC version)

I think diablo 3 would be a great title to introduce pvp to the console because that is one important element that is missing in all of the action rpgs ps3 and 360. I dont think anyone could do it better than blizzard in those terms and now a days you need to make a great first impression when introducing your product to a gaming community full of high expectations.

I wish I could just simply copy and paste all of the threads in the same format on the bnet forums cuz i like how our arguments are suprisingly mature but idk if i could say the same for bnet cuz i never use there forums but i believe im going to start a thread up on that forum and see how the response works out

with a lil bit of luck bashiok might comment on our matter to help clear up a big issue haha but that might be to much wishful thinking
