This "fun for everyone, even your grandmother (for a couple weeks)" adopted business model is absolutely crap and has destroyed the Diablo franchise.
It's not just killing Diablo, it's killing damn near every mainstream franchise out there. The idea of catering to core fanbases for a franchise is dead. It's easier to milk money out of every facebook level "gamer" for a shitty $60 shovelware that they'll abandon after a week, than to make a game that the existing fanbase will enjoy and continue to put money into expansions for.
There's already a completely overdone issue with balance in the current ones. They're basically binary when it comes to balance. They're easy hilariously easy and simple to deal with, or a huge issue that certain classes or game play approaches are slaughtered by. I'd rather see balance get better before we go throw even more wrenches into the gears.
The original Diablo on the PS1 was a total flop. It felt unnatural and forced. In short, it sucked.
That's because it was designed for a PC. Just look at D3, it was already designed for the console version.
We're locked to 6 skills with no hotswapping. -> X, O, Triangle, Square, 2 Triggers.
Very few AoE targetted abilities compared to D2, most are point in a direction and shoot -> Much more focus on controller capable design.
No lobbies, levels designed as "chunks" for simple game creation, promoting matchmaking over proper game browser.
There's an xpadder profile made to let you use an xbox controller on D3, try it out and see how suspiciously well it works with a few exceptions.
This was planned from the get go and our game is shit because it was designed around this.
Just silly. Lets make some challenge to those players who have godly gear and wants more challenge.. umm.. now lets take the challenge away! I dont think its challenging if elite fights take long time but you just cant die. Thats just boring. Weird people working at Blizzard.
Or the people with 278k unbuffed DPS can go outside and get a life while the rest play.
What Co-Op...? I love playing multiplayer, but if you want to make any progress in this game you basically cant.
Played and finished Inferno pre-1.0.3, Have Paragon level 67 right now, all done exclusively with my brother, I've never played alone other than my Demon Hunter who only has a few hours played after level 60.
Once your EXP bonus from higher Monster Power gets big enough to make a good difference, the mobs live far too long. It seems to have a "negative" scaling, in that your EXP per hour seems to go down, at least on paper.
I'd love to have access to whatever AH you're using.
You can get a 1k dps 1h for under 100k with no stats. You can get OHs for 100k or less with 50-250 damage or more, 100+Int and 8%+ crit. You can find a chest with 100 int, 100 vit, 50 all resist for a couple hundred k.
What's the problem with finding all 3 for 1 mil?
EDIT: US AH if there's any confusion.
Just went to check for an OH with the stats you listed, almost exactly what you listed, none for cheaper than 2m.
So? Oh no, the intern didn't get mentioned by name.
Want an interview that includes everyone? Then get the entire team in the room. Wait, they didn't, they only got the 3.

Because then you could harass people by VPNing your own account, and saying "Hey buddy, here's some free stuff I'm quitting D3 :)"
Then you report the account hacked and that guy gets banned.
Sherlock.

Link armory, lets see your MP10 clear.

How exactly can you not progress in co-op?
I use it fine, therefore it shouldn't be an option!
