Your LOH won't matter at all unless you get some IAS on a few of your pieces at least. Get an IAS Ring(Blue if need be), IAS Amulet(Blackthrone's is wonderful), and a pair of IAS/Dex/Vit/Resistance gloves. IAS is getting nerfed, but it's not getting nerfed to the point where you can forget about it. Monks need LoH, LoH requires IAS to be effective, therefore etc, etc.
First decide on a resist to use. Each has his up and downsides (poison for andariels, arcane for seven sins, physical/fire to save a passive on some bosses, etc.)
Most Monks will use One With Everything so there isn't really a choice to be made. It is best to pick one resistance to stack, as it it means it is usually easier and cheaper than going after +res all. Also, you can find a lot of gear with (for eg) +cold res and +res all which all adds up and helps out.
I made the mistake early on of going primarily for +all res and wasted a lot of gold til I realised it's just easier and cheaper to go for + Arcance Res as it is my highest, unbuffed

I keep trying to find reasons that Steady Aim and Cull of the Weak shouldn't be automatic choices, with no success. I'd imagine non-archery based builds would find reasons not to use Steady Aim, but it's so strong otherwise.
This is pure speculation on my part, but Blizzard has confirmed there will be "Feats of Strength" in the game (One of the Chosen). Have you considered that there might actually be a feat of strength for first level 60 in your region, or first level 60 <insert class here> in your region?

DH will be just as good as the rest of them... all classes have good buffs and the all have good dps, the only thing DH brings is a different play style, nothing more.
There's the only answer. The classes are different in play style, not contribution quality. You won't be sitting your Demon Hunter friend in Inferno A2 because she doesn't bring 5% spell hit, it's a different game.
I meant Inferno, just a mistype. My estimate is still 4 months ATLEAST for SC Inferno. Not worth arguing it when there's no data and you assume that skill means you can get the gear you need instantly. Good luck with your two weeks.
And on the topic of the thread, I think Barb is going to have the most trouble solo'ing Inferno. It's not how many defensive abilities you have as a class, it's how many you can fit in a build while still being able to actually kill shit. Barb's can fit maybe 2 into a build while still having enough offensive power to kill shit, this can also be said for a couple classes, but I think for Barb it will be the worst.
maybe, maybe not. but 4-6 months? not even close, even the casual gamers will have it beaten long before month 3. (casual being = ~2 hours of play a day, hardcore being 8+)

We'll see how it turns out, but I'd be surprised if someone beat it by the third month, more surprised but still understanding if they beat it by the fourth month.
yes exactly. 2 to 3 weeks is when i plan to have it beat. some days i will be playing 14 hours a day though, although i do have a full time job so that really hinders it. ill be posting a thread shortly after release to show my progress rushing through and i know a few people will comment with their progress and it may be even better than mine which i fully expect.

I'll be playing around 14 hours a day most days, no job, taking summer semester off, and I don't expect to clear it before month 4. Estimating two weeks is saying that the random idiotic "LOL ITLL BE CLEAR BY 2 WEEKS" people are correct, which is just stupid.
And on the topic of the thread, I think Barb is going to have the most trouble solo'ing Inferno. It's not how many defensive abilities you have as a class, it's how many you can fit in a build while still being able to actually kill shit. Barb's can fit maybe 2 into a build while still having enough offensive power to kill shit, this can also be said for a couple classes, but I think for Barb it will be the worst.

Lol, I'll give in 2 weeks. 14-16 hours of play per day for 2 weeks = 210 hours. Should be enough for someone to get through it with a bit of planning, luck and RL cash.
nah... it's basically about spending time repeating the same RNG content. it'll take at least a couple weeks to solo each act, maybe a month for act 4.
really? you think people will spend HUNDREDS of hours on ONE act in inferno? considering acts arent that long that means you will be repeating each tiny area like 200 times.....
Yeah that's pretty accurate. We can say maybe a week to two weeks farming hell for enough gear to STEP INTO Inferno. Then maybe a week or two of act one TRASH farming to clear the act bosses, then you can expect some time of act boss farming to step into the next act. This would obviously get more difficult as the acts progress, which would result in more time. I think my initial expected time was 4 months, but it could be as long as 6 months before a clear comes out. Hardcore will take at least a year or an exploit/nerf to clear it.
wow....... those are some insanely over exaggerated time frames. i mean are u still expecting it to take that many months even if people are playing 8+ hours a day 7 days a week? and is this for the average player or for the veterans?
It's not worth making time estimates for people who plan to go outside. It's already been shown how much of a gear check Inferno is gonna be, with specific loot from Inferno and late Hell that you NEED to push through the acts. Every act drops better loot and you NEED that gear to continue not only to the next act, but through the current act. Unless you are actually Jesus himself, you're not gonna have the kind of luck to get this gear in less than 2 weeks time.

Pretty much this, I don't sell small shit like some people, but when I have an item worth over 20 million, 15% is a lot.
